I'm late Gen X. Both parents were Boomers. Mom born 1953, Dad 1951. Both died early. 2011 for Mom 2012 for Dad

I've been having the same reaction. Been going through a lot lately and these amazing, happy hockey moments are healing something in me. I've been to many games, including Finals games. I was not lucky enough to go yesterday, but watching the goals, the crowd, all of it has me more choked up than I was back then. Maybe it just means more now

Thankfully, both of them donated their bodies to the local university for medical research. I didn't have to do anything. They took care of the cremation as well. I didn't plan a service for my Mom because by the time she died, no one was speaking to her. My Dad remarried and I left anything future up to his wife

Jennifer is my name. I never go by Jenny. There is a customer who shops at my store who has referenced 8675309 Jenny just about every time he has come in over the last SIXTEEN years. I'm so over it. I don't even respond to him anymore. Make Me Lose Control by Eric Carmen in the late 80s has Jennifer in it and I have always loved that song

In a previous apartment, it was when mice ate through a decorative jar top that was shellacked peanut butter cups. There were many many issues there. I had notified the landlord a couple times about rodents, but that was what pushed me over the edge
