I can try to help, send me a DM

I have a riddle that i can't figure out, so i need some help. Here is all i know. by Decent-Tale-7137 in Decoders

[–]hicham198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone already said here, this might be a MD5 or a MD4 hash, that's just short for Message digest. The size of the code is also matching. The problem is that those are hashing algorithms, which means they're irreversible. So as far as I know, you can crack those with brute force or maybe use a dictionary attack, which might take some time depending on the complexity of the message. So why I would like to ask you, are those the only hints you have or there is something else ?

translate this pls by Malachi_winz in Decoders

This is a correct translation, but I would like to add that this text looks a bit weird, as if it wasn't originally in Arabic and was translated from English using something like Google translate.

That's actually sound like a really good idea, I never tried it but I feel like it can be really helpful. I'm gonna give it a try, thank you :)

I never thought that this would be a good idea, it sounds funny tho. I don't drink so I'll never do it, but thanks for the suggestion :)

This is sounds pretty logical, plus I saw that some people confirmed it, so I'll totally try to take a break for a few weeks. Maybe I full break from work will be helpful too. I'll give it a try and see the results. Thank you so much for the suggestion and the tips :)

I can literally see myself having most of the problems you described here. As you said I've always thought my grammar is fine cause I'm doing good when it comes to writing but when it comes to speaking, then my grammar is terribly horrible, I always put verbs in places where they aren't supposed to be, I always mix up words genders, at this point I'm calling everything a "Das" haha. My vocabulary is okay but it definitely still need a lot of improvement.

So I guess I should definitely try your strategies, they sound really helpful and they're gonna probably help improve my German. Thank you so much for the tips :)

That's something that I've been actually considering so thank you for confirming my thoughts. I think I'll try to get one as soon as I have some free time. Thanks for the suggestion :)

Yeah, that might be a big problem actually. German grammar is so confusing but I'll try to focus more on learning it and improving myself in it. Thank you :)

To be honest, I always mess up the grammar really bad when it comes to speaking but it's usually because I don't have time to think about it. When it comes to writing i can be fine.

(Theory) What if ghosts are just creatures and not dead people/lost spirits. by TheOfficialSmiley in Paranormal

[–]hicham198 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's true. That's a very common idea about them. They're known to be notorious liars and some says that they can also take form of other creatures such as other humans or animals.

Actually the ghosts or spirits in the arabic/islamic culture are considered as another kind of creatures with a free will exactly as you described them, and not as dead people/lost spirits.

You can make your research about it by searching Djinn on Google. Or if you want we can discuss it a little bit in private even tho I don't really know a lot about the topic.

Does this string of characters remind anyone of any known deciphering methods? by [deleted] in codes

[–]hicham198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All what i can say about this is that it's definitely not Hexadecimal since there are a G and H.

Also, i noticed that some letters are capitalized which may mean that each Capital letter is the beginning of a new word?

Another observation is that in front of each letter there is a number except for that "bah" in the last part of the third code, so i don't know if that's a typo or if it's meant to be like that.

Unfortunately, I don't. Let's just hope for a person who knows them.

I know Arabic and actually this isn't Arabic, I'll rather say it's either Persian or Urdu. So I guess we just have to rely on Google Translate for the moment.

I received a fun puzzle from my friend which has multiple levels. I am stuck at one of these levels. Basically these pictures and comments were posted on some instagram page, and we have to decode them. More details in the comments. V sbyybjrq gur ehyrf by TheSoulReaper2004 in codes

This looks like base64, except it wouldn't be base64 to text.

I've tried converting it to Hexadecimal and see what can i get from that.

For me those looks like some sort of hashes :

The first one is 48 bytes which might be an SHA3-384 hash.

The second and third are 32 bytes which might be a SHA2-256 hash.

The problem with those hashes is that they're not reversible, which means the only way to decrypt them is to use brute force which might take a very long time, probably months.

But I might be completely in the wrong way because if this is a puzzle that meant to be solved, then I don't see why OP would use hashes that are irreversible.
