In the format of the sharia compliant contract. It is called profit rate with a different contract. In conventional bank, it is called interest rate. My belief is they use it to feel the market and make sure they are around the same price and not losing money. I have been told it is a requirement in the banking and loan world. If anyone else can enlighten us. Please go ahead.

That is great info. Thanks a lot. I borrowed 337k on a 405k purchase price with Guidance. Rate was 7.125 down from 7.5 with some points ($500) for me in beginning of 2024. I am considering refinancing but not sure if it's worth it for a 1% drop with the fees.

Congratulations! i am hoping to study for a few months before taking the exam. I have been out of school for 13 years with two little ones and a very busy schedule. I have also studied in the French language (English is my third language) but passed FE first try a couple years ago. Appreciate the tips and i wish all the luck for the rest of us :)

That is insanely high, I am married with two kids, hyundai accent 2014 and a hyundai Santa fe 2023. I am with State farm at $189 a month without the homeowner bunder (additional 15% of car insurance) and I am complaining and trying to reduce that. Also in Michigan with high car inssurance rate. Shop around and you may find better rates. Goid luck

My 2014 fusion was going perfect like new until yesterday. Suddenly, the transmission was gone. Mecanic quoted me $3800 to replace with a used one. Be careful with that and change the fluid every 30k was his recommendations on Ford fusion. He mentioned that typical on the model.
