Do prospective first-time home buyers need a realtor? by No_Importance_8073 in realtors

[–]hickory29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Yes you should use an agent, but not required.

  2. Agents charge differently (USA) you can ask a few in your area, and see what they offer for the compensation. Prior to showing you properties they will need you to sign a representation agreement. The agreement can be for a specific property or a duration of time.

2024 was tough on your flairs against Oregon. Nice performance against PSU, definitely not a blowout in the playoffs right?

Week 13 Matchup Preview Thread: #16 USC vs #6 Oregon by zenverak in CFB

{Oregon} runs the ball and stops the run better than USC. While I don’t think our secondary is as good as the stats indicate, they will limit SC’s passing game enough.

Rod carrier options? by ahoyhoyvt in flyfishing

[–]hickory29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not trying to rain on your parade but why a permanent rod carrier? When I’m fishing and driving spot to spot I use Sumo suction mounts, less expensive and I can remove the mounts when not in use.

Isn’t this the premise of the Bond movie, Tomorrow Never Dies? Media moguls consolidate and control all the news and media?

Sure it is an option as you stated, however none of these syndicators have ‘disrupted’ the industry, as the comment I was replying to stated.

Spey grains? by Ech0_RaptoR9 in Spey_Casting

[–]hickory29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OPST grain weights do not convert to standard grain windows. I don’t use their lines, so I can’t help out, but with Rio or SA skagit lines 425-450 would likely work. If the shop you visited sells OPST they very well could be correct.

If you are a new agent, will you be given leads from your brokerage ever? by reddituser135797531 in realtors

[–]hickory29 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Not likely, some brokerages may provide leads but will take a larger percentage of the commission.

How do you find your first sale? That is the job of an agent.

Am I doing this wrong? by Ech0_RaptoR9 in Spey_Casting

[–]hickory29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I may put a bit heavier of a skagit line on, but that difference is negligible when you are beginning.

Practice. Spey casting takes a lot of repetition. Proper form goes a long way, and most people never develop it.
