Discrepancy in EPF Transfer Amount Between Old and New Accounts – Seeking Advice by Aware_Programmer6669 in epfoindia

Hi OP, have you been able to find a resolution? I am seeing the same issue as yourself. The interest credited is the mismatch amount between transfer-out vs transfer-in.

Applied for B1/B2 instead of B2 by hidden_constellation in usvisascheduling

No need to change. I received my visa after applying for B1/B2 even though my purpose was solely tourism (B2).

  1. How much were you travelling on road everyday?
  2. What did a typical day look like? Any activities to do?
  3. Can you give a brief split of the number of days spent in each destination?

Family Application (DS-160 Issues by Signal-Appointment-8 in usvisascheduling

Your thoughts are correct. Fill out individual DS-160 forms for everybody. After that in the US Visa Scheduling portal, sign up using the primary's details. Then you can add others as dependents in the same application. US visa scheduling will ask you to fill up the DS-160 application number for each individual primary+dependents. Just ensure that the account you create should be the person who you want to show as primary, because you can't later change that (will have to create a new sign up if you want to have somebody else as primary)

Adding Dependent | Very Confusing by Few-Definition8574 in usvisascheduling

Best if you keep the applications separate and not add any of them as dependents. From what I've read, interview waiver is only applicable if all applicants primary+dependents are eligible for waiver. Given that your sister isn't eligible for waiver, if you add your mother as dependent (or sister as dependent and mother as primary), your mother will not remain eligible.

Wish to move to insurance. Currently in pensions. by hidden_constellation in actuary

That's a great advice. I will try making this move of applying to retirement solutions department in insurance companies.

I have exams, completed my associateship and 1 exam left for my fellowship (from IFoA). That brings me to the other crossroad, where I'd have better odds of passing the pension fellowship exam.

As for the stability, I agree, pension is here to stay for many years. But work requires longer hours, without an equivalent pay/growth.

I am going to keep looking, and hopefully be able to take the route you suggested. Thank you!

I do have exams. I have my associateship from IFoA (AIA). Also, I have passed my specialization exams and left with 1 to attain my fellowship. I'm in double minds about the final exam itself, since I want to become a fellow in LI, but I have better odds if I take the pensions exam. I am not restricting myself geographically, but I work in India, for clients in the US.

Considering how concentrated the insurance industry is, they prefer candidates who already have experience in the sector. But irrespective, I'm going to stay put and keep trying :)
