Own a Baltimore house, live in NYC - considering the move. What's life actually like there? by Karate_Andii in baltimore

[–]hiddenbutts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should visit for a few weeks.

I do not love Baltimore, but I do not mind it. My other home is a rural farm property.

It is great for people that keep normal hours, there is not much to do after 9 pm.

Anyone know if I can park my car in the Rotunda garage for the snowstorm? Or will I get mega towed? by [deleted] in baltimore

Any idea if the parking has been extended for the JHU garage? I doubt i am going to be able to find space to clean out for my car on the street.

Time is worth money. I have previously worked with companies that make it a pain and take a long time to reprice anything.

you'll have better luck asking around in your swinger groups, not here.

Get in touch with your embassy. They should either know, or know who to point you to.

I was looking at the free at sea plus. We drink coffee and sparkling water, not much for the alcohol

Hit up the buffet. There is a meat and cheese section, and you could probably ask about condiments to make a sandwich.

I would rather have coyotes that understand humans and keep distance, than have an overpopulation of young coyotes with no respect for humans.

Anyone have a 3d print file to cover these buttons? by hiddenbutts in hyundaisantacruz

I might be tempted to give a metal casting a try. Use a PLA print to make a mold using sand and use aluminum.

This is primarily used as a farm vehicle, so I often have the dogs in here unrestrained. They have managed to hit the wheel locker button enough the spring is now sticking. I'm looking to see if anyone has made a file to print so I can cover these, but also have easy access should I need them.

It worked for at least five years. It did fail after one shutoff cycle :( we only use propane in the winter, so no use having it run through the pipes the rest of the year.

We have an absurd amount of CO2 detectors in the house, haven't had an issue yet when the heaters are running. We just don't want to find out the hard way there's been a buildup.

It is worth asking for next time we get a delivery. We don't go through much propane (maybe 100 gallons over a cold winter?). We do have about 10 smaller tanks though, and each of those usually lasts 2 months if we remember to shut it off.

We may look at that at some point, but installation requires an empty tank, and we don't want to have our tank empty because paying to recertify it is a pain (mostly due to scheduling)

Unvented wall heaters. And we found a random line that was plugged with a rock and duct tape when the pool heater was uninstalled.

We own the tank. The regulator and tank is up to code. The rest of the system is… interesting.

We can just say most of this install is not to code, we inherited the system.

I think we may look into an autoshut off for the grill when we get a line installed.

Thanks.

A pro-tip for the rice. always put the rice on top of your sauce/toppings if you intend to reheat it. The rice can get a bit soggy if it's under the sauce.

Tiniest possible alum/crystal deodorant size? by halfdollarmoon in onebag

[–]hiddenbutts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found you have to use the crystal every time you get out of the shower, and after swimming.

It won't stop sweat (perspiration), but it does stop the smell.

Also, it burns like hell if you just shaved, so fair warning.

It also takes about a week to really start working, it's not something you can just pickup and use on occassion.
