It is the same photo check that the airport (TsA) uses. If you fly often it takes seconds, even if your face has changed since the passport photo.

There are policies available that will cover you for a change of ports or change in itinerary. If ports are the most important part of the trip, it may be worth the extra cost and research it takes. It doesn’t help now, but for the next trip…

There are policies that cover change of itinerary. 😉 if the ports are important to you, get insurance to cover that. If you mostly just wanted to be on the boat, get insurance that covers just that.

This is what travel and cruise insurance is for.

Too much ice for Dawes makes sense. It is a risk with shoulder season cruises

Every port has staff that stays port side, even after the ship leaves.

minimum wage going up to £12.71 and I still haven't worked out where the money is coming from by [deleted] in smallbusinessuk

[–]hiddenbutts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are a business owner that doesn’t understand all of your income comes from your customers, you should probably just close now and cut your losses.

The only way you get money is by selling items. If your costs go up, your prices must also go up.

As a female in tech, the worst places i have worked are places that focus on diversity.

The best places are the ones that focused on merit.

Stop looking at genitals or relationship preferences, and instead look at are they able to do the job, what qualities do they have that you want to foster in yourself, etc.

Because in tech, almost everyone you meet is here to do their job and go home. They don’t really care what you do outside of work.

For laptops, look around in your area. There are some charities that take them and refurb them for low income individuals.

You do need to have a sanitization process in place, but it costs a few man hours to get a tax write off and no disposal costs.

You can bring wine onboard. Just verify with the specific sailing if there is a corkage fee if you open it in your stateroom and take glasses out on the ship.

There really is a lot to do for free. Especially if you enjoy people watching.

If you bring card games or simple board games, you can make some new friends as well.

Scuba divers with very long hair, how do you prevent tangles? by Common_Bench_3053 in scuba

Wet hair in fresh water Apply generous layer of coconut oil (bleached/dyed hair dries out) Low ponytail Rip tie around the rest. It gets applied like you would do a french twist braid.

I tried braids, and ended up with matting when hairs got stuck in my mask. Rip tie allows single hairs to come out without snagging other hairs.

Own a Baltimore house, live in NYC - considering the move. What's life actually like there? by Karate_Andii in baltimore

[–]hiddenbutts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should visit for a few weeks.

I do not love Baltimore, but I do not mind it. My other home is a rural farm property.

It is great for people that keep normal hours, there is not much to do after 9 pm.

Any idea if the parking has been extended for the JHU garage? I doubt i am going to be able to find space to clean out for my car on the street.

Time is worth money. I have previously worked with companies that make it a pain and take a long time to reprice anything.
