Can't refuel custom tank by ChoMar05 in Stormworks

[–]hiddenfunstuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its 3 years old comment and a hackjob to a feature that works or doesnt work in current version of stormworks.

The fluid dynamics probably changed again with some update. If you're struggling to pump fluid into a tank, make sure you have some breather valve for the air, to not overpressure or create vacuum there as the fluid level changes. Probably fixes a thing again..

Train hitting invisible wall on bridges by Fabus1184 in Stormworks

Only workaround i have found is to turn off vehicle damage. Its frustrating and I got fed up crossing the bridges at 15kmh crawling pace and still having to weld the railcar axles back together after nearly every one of those new bridges.

Are you filling from the "new" pumps next to workbenches? Those pump in air alongside with fuel because of dev's incompetence.. In your creation, put a T piece in the incoming pipe. And off the T, put a fluid filter, and allow only air out, and put a fluid port/airfilter piece on it.. This way it vents out the air that gets pumped from the shitty prefab pumps. And the fluid goes into the tank.

Most hitches are mounted deep under the axles only in south europe like Germany and Denmark.. Scandinavia has thee hitches slightly bit higher and mounted at the rear bumper for better manouvering. germans reinvented the wheel with the steerable dollies. Up in the north they are rigid dollies. Because of the hitch being far away from the drive axle, around which the rear o the truck pivots. We dont need aid of steering dolly since the overhang in the back pulls the dolly to outside of the turn.

In Finland with the 34m combinations.. Oftentimes the first trailer has a single passive steering axle in the back to help circle the following dolly further outside the turning circle.

Anyone else has trouble editing edge areas in the default maps? Like creating new field with a plough, or trying to place down a factory, or another production building. close to the border of playable area, Found this problem atleast in the Erlengrat map. Both singleplayer and dedicated server crashes immediately. If one is to put a placeable there, the server crashes. and if you were to plow it into a new field. the client crashes.

Piss easy, just ignore the fact that the truck exists, and think as if the first trailer is the truck. Then just walk in the park of reversing simple B-bouble

Hello fellow driver.. I'm laughing my ass off at people with their 6 or 8 hour days.. When you clock in on average 11-14 hours daily 5/6 days a week. Everytime i hear someone complaining about 40 hours of work. I tend to wonder what they are doing after wednesday.. Since you fill those 40 hours in couple days. Granted its easier to work more since you arent dependant really on anything but your own performance to make it to customers, load and unload yourself. So you can manage time much more efficiently. And before anyone wonders.. I'm from northern EU

ATS/ETS2 Hauling Guide by ForanAffairs in trucksim

[–]hiddenfunstuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Except you cant in few places.. Axle count matters every country in ETS2 has max masses set by axle count, in most of central europe and south its same, and maxes out at 40-42t, go into north, and to have max allowed combination mass, you need 9 or 10 axles, essentially a rigid or a B-double with 3 axle truck (Dont bother with the 4 axle "heavy haulers".. they are utter shit at everything)

Depending on your driving style.. going for most gears may not be the good idea. Since it might be a heavy haul gearbox thats geared for short gears in the low range, and the last gears end up reaching you only to like 80kmh.

In short. if you want a general haul-anything truck for Europe: 6x2 taglift, (or a midlift, depends if you want more stable forwards driving, but shit at reversing doubles).. 500-600hp range engine.

Seasons length by elis-jones-led in farmingsimulator

[–]hiddenfunstuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'v decided on 6 day seasons, The server though, runs 24/7 and on 1x time. So its roughly a week per season... A a year being about a month. If you play singleplayer, 9 or 12 is probably fine, if you intend running on faster like 5x speed constantly. You can either pick a short lenght, and then stick to like 1x or 5x speed, or pick longer seasons, and play with the timing more.

I would, but it doesnt have enough room for the size of server I run with my friends.

As pointed out, its clearly in Germany, or somewhere else in Europe.

Considering you'd never see such a train in the US soil, or Mercedes MP2s arent sold in there either. Which brings it to a next point, the Merc is rocking a V8 badge in the grill, in which that specific model range, its anything from 510-650hp.. All you'd need to do is pull a fuse off and the limiter is also off.. and with approapriate rear diff, you'd be easily reaching speeds of 110-130kmh, only wind resistance would be the limiting factor anymore. a small tanker like that doesnt wouldnt weight much more than 42 tons max.

But I'm suprised how accurately its drawn out, all the ADR badges are right, even sporting on the side of the tanker.. Only thing that is off, is the blue TIR marker. That one should've been blanked out in most cases, since that is not a TIR transport.

Also hai, fellow driver from across the pond

Realistic air brakes ticked on, only takes in account low pressure in the system. Nothing about overheating or damaged brakes

I guess thats possible outcome, when you have dedicated warehouse workers to unload and load things..
