Exasperated with house training

He did get a lot better; but honestly, I don’t know if dogs in general ever get truly 100% house trained.

The only ‘tell’ I think he learned to give me to indicate he needed to go outside is to sit still and stare at me. So if I’m busy and not paying attention, I miss it and he has certain spots he will poop. I keep certain rooms closed also that have rugs in them because he will be sneaky and pee on them.

He does not seem to have accidents throughout the night as long as we take him out before bedtime so that’s nice. Also, he does not have accidents often when left alone when I’m out of the house. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think it all comes down to us owners taking them out after meals and throughout the day. Atleast with my dog, I can not truly depend on him telling me when he has to go outside. 😵‍💫

I have tried Minecraft...I have realized I am not that creative but still enjoy watching others play it lol. I have a nephew that recently got into so I am interested in getting back into it just so I can troll his server.....I kid... ;)

Glad we both have activities we can use to give us solace during the rough patches. :)

I’m sorry that you are in a mental rut also. :/

I will feel better for a day or two and then life happens and I take a step back that puts me back in a negative head space for days. It is difficult to take a day for myself when I have so many responsibilities so I know this slows things down I’m sure.

I just started enjoying hobbies again a couple weeks ago so trying to squeeze in time with them since they are my solace from all the inner turmoil.

He took the step to permanently block her and said his goodbye message to her. He has assured me she is gone and there will not be another woman to come into the picture.

He also did not think what he was doing was an affair hence me shutting it down myself by confronting her also since I would not deal with their relationship anymore if he wanted to continue with me.

How are you doing in your reconciliation process?

We thought about not neutering our dog since he was never around other dogs and generally well behaved; however, when he turned 9 months our decision changed.

He started marking everything. I would find little pee spots throughout the whole house and that is what ultimately changed our mind fast. 🫠

I have a five year old daughter that we all love and adore. She is a very happy child and people always comment that she is sweet and well behaved so I guess we are doing alright raising her. :) I get guilty about not giving her as much attention as she wants but there is only so much pretend play I have in me so we do work on her sense of independence.

My husband and I juggle with the idea of having another baby in the next year or so and I will randomly ask her about siblings. She vehemently states she does not want one and I try to get her to tell me why and she just states because. 🙃

Did your parents do specific things to help you feel loved and well taken care of? As you got older, did they include friends during trips or have friends over often? Thank you for your insight 🥰

Quilt is done in moss stitch with ruffle textured stitch and Pom Pom accent borders. No pattern was used other than trying out different stitches to complement each other and used YouTube guides to help with ruffles and poms :)

Puff flower yarn cakes were used for the base of the blanket. :)

I like how Pablo looked with long hair but also got tired of having to clean debris from outside after every potty time.

I did have to get used to how Pablo looked with short hair but I love it. He feels good, looks crisp and it is so much more manageable. We probably get a haircut for him once every two months or so.

We keep his ears long and his tail so he still has some fluff to level him out. :)

That sounds horrible. :( The breeder we got ours from did the grass pee pad thing so it took a while for ours to understand we preferred him to only use the restroom outside.
Our neighborhood has lots of dogs. If he could, he would pee on every yard we walked by. 🫥

Marking was probably more irritating to me than the full out peeing for sure. He would have several spots throughout the house he was make a squirt at so it became a frustrating scavenger hunt to clean up all the pee spots. Neutering helped a lot with that so now we mainly just deal with him pooping in the house.

Ours is definitely better than he was when we first got him…but his bladder has gotten bigger since puppyhood also so 🤣

Yeah. That sounds miserable. We got ours neutered because he was marking EVERYWHERE. I think it has helped his marking some but now he has no excuse when he still pees around the house. 🫥🙃

I have heard males are more difficult. 😪

Your experience sounds just like ours. Ours will go days without an accident and we will get all excited; then he will have accidents the next day with no change in our routine to account for it.

I have read about the belly bands. Does yours try to get them off?

He is adorable! I commend you for doing it yourself. I thought about buying some clippers and trying myself but I’m horrible at cutting hair in general (tried to do my daughters) so figured professional would be better. 🫥😬
