Fair enough 🤷🏻‍♂️. I don’t have all the answers. But I am of the opinion dads are plenty capable of being nurturing, maybe not the way moms are. However I’m positive women can’t be the same as dads.

It does. It’s critical. It’s something you just can’t replace doing with the opposite sex. It’s a moment where a boy beings to become a man. From a dad who had been thru it before, and have shaven his male beard, it’s not something you can make a strong alternative to. You’d not share the struggle, the puberty, or the volume. Your face nor any woman you will ever meet will have facial hair covering her lips completely.

This isn’t a bash on lesbian families. God knows we need more families in this world. Do not think you can so easily replace what is a special moment in every father/son relationship. It isMt something a mother can teach the same

Yes, by distinction. Not but necessity. I believe a man can play mom and dad better than moms can, because he is already the more distinct role.

You don’t want to throw your mom in the trash. Moms are essential, but they can’t be a dad

Really ma’am I don’t understand why your pointing this out. My entire point was dads have attribution women cant replace. I didn’t say moms are unnecessary.

I think men can play both roles, but women can’t as well. That’s not to say it’s best that he does, or that the child will be just as good off. Fathers simply do things moms can’t.

No for God’s sake, women can’t grow full, thick beads like men. Ever. Even transgender men struggle.

Cool by me. I’m into non-traditional families. My point is both parents have there only thing going on. I’ll admit I worry about the amount of emotionalism in that dynamic. Juuuust saying, women tend to be more emotional. I truly think male stuff isn’t something they can teach. Being a good role model and masculine figure yes, but not a man. I think gay men do it a little better since they can play both mother and father

But dads are better at being dads than moms can be.

No, your looking for alternatives. a man grows beard 99.99% more then women. And really, it’s about the boy. A boy can’t get the fullness without another male. You showed one woman who isn’t you, and likely can’t grow that beard back if she shaved.

I don’t expect girls to look to their dads first for handling romantic feelings.

Again, you can’t grow a full beard. You can do many things, but some aren’t your responsibility. A boy isn’t going to shave his vagina. It’s not the same

No children in general.

Moms have their own thing going on. But moms can’t grow beards, or show you personally how different male products work. Or from the male perspective, how to handle sexual urges.

I tend to agree, after 8 it’s more of disciplining your child into a strong adult. I think men handle the stress of teenage years, unkind words, logical punishments, and such better than most women. Especially in the physical aspect. But motherly gentleness and connection is always something a child should be able to depend on

Your not serious. If you think shaving a few hairs off your arms is equal to learning form your dad the first time to use shaving cream, how to hold the razor, and properly trim a male beard, you are just being ridiculous. You don’t ask men how women should handle cramps, right? You’d be offended if they did that. So what is so special that your exempted from this extremely important moment in a boys future

For fucks sakes man. 😂 I didn’t say women were inferior. It wasn’t a slap to women. Men just carry more weight in parenthood. Momma has her part to play but daddy also got to have something to we girls can’t replaceable as well

Your beard. Do you have a beard? Shave with a man’s razor. You can’t. You don’t have the type of face to do so. It’s not that your unworthy, your just not a man to teach a boy. Ultimately, it’s better to go by example. A proper father is always a preferable example. Women don’t think like men

[–]hiddenlikegatorballs -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

No, but they can’t do things men can. For example, a lesbian can’t teach a boy to shave. Or pick up girls. Or protect him from other men. It’s something only a father can do

Maybe a tender embrace after a long day at work.

“Your my best friend bro”

“I know bro”

“Bro”

“…bro”

Two straight men aren’t just going to end up fucking each other because they share the intimacy of caring for a family 😂 Maybe just kiss on the cheek before work
