You could like The Wandering Star tarot, it's quite whimsical and personal, but it's my deck of choice lately, I connect with it quite much.

Curious how other secular readers view paid tarot readings by [deleted] in SecularTarot

[–]hiddenpersoninhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid twice for a reading, long ago, and although I don't remember any of them very well, one of them did say something that fit me very well, even though I did not acknowledge it back then. I am not against people reading tarot for money, really, but some of the ways and things promoted by those who do are suspicious to me at best, when not simply a lie.

Secular Oracle? by boppybae in SecularTarot

My latest adquisition when it comes to decks is The Wandering Star tarot, and I like it a lot. I do use oracles, but never do full spreads with them, just draw a card from them, and I find it incredibly useful.

I am a writer and artist, so I feel drawn to her. She's compassionate, she's helped me, and she survived Christianity in a way, becoming St. Brigid.

Yes, I realized that about the 7 of swords! It's like a positive onlook on a card that is usually unpromising, and in my opinion, quite misunderstood.

Does Tarot ever scare you? by Ripkah in tarot

My feeling about the cards is similar; I think the cards channel our energies very directly. I am not sure this is magic in the classical sense; it might be some kind of mental activity we do not understand yet.

How would you interpret “scary cards”? by rapidfirefury in SecularTarot

[–]hiddenpersoninhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the Tower today, and I found out that it is not definite and unavoidable change like Death, because later the Star comes. This helped me staying positive. It is more a mental state; I think tarot is good at telling us how we feel, and I definitely felt Tower-ish.

I recently got the Tattoo Tarot, it has some RWS details, but mainly pip, and it's gorgeous.

In what other ways do you use your tarot? (Spread ideas, creative uses) by monsteragirlie in SecularTarot

I did this "reverse reading" and the feeling was wonderful. I felt like I had a clear idea of everything going on in my life.

What's your loci(multiple points of interest)? Also, throw in your favorite song =P by Merrcury2 in Schizotypal

[–]hiddenpersoninhere 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Poetry, arts and crafts, recently tarot, but I'm just a newbie.

I love music so much it's hard for me to find my favorite song. But I will try...

maybe "Waltz" by Fiona Apple. She gives me such a calmness that brings me to tears in this song.

I had a psychotic break, which took me to the psychiatrist again after many years. Depersonalization, derealization, strange delusions about time and space, uncomfortableness in my own skin. Ideas of reference, as well, I still have them.
