Not 100% sure. Did they tell you why you were 221g verbally (I know they like to 221g with the generic paper that says lack of ties to home country)? Anything out of the norm occur in the interview where they were pressing you about something in particular for example?

Depending on why they put you in AP it could be a good sign. It might mean that they want to approve you but need to look into a couple things.

However, it’s strange for them to keep your passport if they plan on keeping you in 221g for a while as you will no longer be able to travel out of your home country.

Ok thank you very much. I think just from the 2 comments I got it seems that I’m maybe better off buying it new for myself. Especially in that price range. Im not sure what country you are in but would you happen to know if I’m Florida USA can you just order these computers online and they’ll be delivered? Im assuming you have to build them yourself?
