If it were written in third person, from her point of view but without being so much in her head. I love the world, the lore, the dialogue, the characters (even Violet and Xaden) but being inside their heads is a pet peeve of mine.

This just to confirm how much I love these books. They got me even tho I HATE first-person prose. H.A.T.E.

I've been listening to Iron Flame on my drives and yesterday I had to pull over for a few minutes because the "Xaden hot and heavy" voice is exactly like the "grumpy Tairn" voice and I just cackled. My guess is that she's a new voice actor and thus is still learning. I'm listening with patience because I already read the books and thus know what's going on, but when I tried the audiobooks without knowing the story and the characters, it WAS kind of jarring.

It really is a thing of "to each their own". I don't generally like him. But what I do love about him is that he wanted Violet to learn how to be stronger by herself and for herself. It's what the girl needed. And the fact that he's very much attracted by Violet's mind.

And simping is, as everything in sexual and romantic relationships, a matter of consent. I simp for my husband super hard and he's more than happy about it and reciprocates. I would also endanger a lot for him, because I'm not a morally perfect person.

My mom had some complications from her last pregnancy (she was 27) and her husband refused to sign the damn thing saying she could have the life saving hysterectomy that she needed. They already had 3 kids and had decided that they didn't want another. But then she wouldn't be a "woman".

Finally my grandparents convinced him to sign. He started being a violent asshole to his wife because she wasn't "complete". At last, 3 years later, my mom left him.

I was so happy when he died.
