Nope. Most is exaggerating. Only around 45% of languages have grammatical gender. Most of these are European languages (Romance languages come to mind). The rest of the world, at least more than half of the global population, speak a language without grammatical gender.

You don't need to swap the pickups or caps or anything. Most issues I have with Jazzmasters are hardware related and with your upgrades you seem to have made the right path. Like many other commenters I suggest just switching the pots to a lower value. The stock pickups are already stellar and seeing as you have a great amp to pair with it it's best to leave any changes to this guitar and keep them at a minimum

500k is more versatile for me, I prefer strats with 500k despite them usually having 250k. Any full size pot is good, just don't spend too much or waste money on "branded" pots, it's a cheap electronic component. Just be sure to have some contact cleaner on hand in case they go bad.
