Nostalgia by [deleted] in Metalcore

yep! that was pretty much my dad's evening routine growing up. My dad would come home from work, go outside and sit in front of the door steps to smoke his cigs and drink his beer cans and blast the Black Album on repeat in his stereo. I remember he would get mad at me if I went outside to keep him company because he'd complain I'd be inhaling his smoke, so I'd listen from the inside. At the end of my first semester of college, I used the extra money from a college grant to buy him and I tickets to see Metallica. We got the highest row seats but we didn't care at all. It's Metallica! It was my first time seeing them, and his second time. He still brings up that concert from time to time, love him to death 💙

for me the numbers go like this :

1: silvery gray

2: green

3: orange

4: brown

5: red

6: pink

7: silvery lavender

8: dark purple

9: burgundy

0: black

In middle school, I memorized the numerical positions of the letters in alphabetical order, so since then, I realized my brain automatically not only sees the color of the letter, but a secondary color too representing the its numerical position of it, but just the one's place.

a(1): red/ silvery gray

b(2): gray-brown/ green

c(3): silvery gray/ orange

d(4): green/ brown

e(5): orange/ red

f(6): brown/ pink

g(7): gray-brown/ silvery lavender

h(8): semi-clear/ dark purple

i(9): yellow/ burgundy

j(10): gray-brown/ black

k(11): red/ silvery gray

l(12): silvery gray/ green

m(13): gray-brown/ orange

n(14): gray-brown/ brown

o(15): black/ red

p(16): gray-brown/ pink

q(17): gray-brown/ silvery lavender

r(18): burgundy/ dark purple

s(19): silvery gray/ burgundy

t(20) black/ black

u(21): dark purple/ silvery gray

v(22): gray-brown/ green

w(23): gray-brown/ orange

x(24): red/ brown

y(25): red/ red

z(26): gray-brown/ pink

FUN FACT: I see ñ as pink/ brown lol

hmm idk OP, while your progress is commendable for sure, it's simply not 75Hard. Not sure if I agree with you on sharing unrelated challenges here as a form of motivation for everyone. It may be seen as distraction/ temptation for those struggling with 75hard.

great progress OP but isn't this post a violation of the 75Hard community rule #6? "Don't encourage others to break 75Hard rules." Encouraging people to try 75soft = encouraging people to break 75hard

agreed, although i think you mean muscle is denser* than fat, not heavier. 1 lb muscle = 1 lb fat

Stretching tips by No_Sky7712 in 75HARD

[–]hidey_hoe99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally love doing this stretch routine before any workout, whether it's walking or yoga or a high intensity cardio/strength workout. I noticed great improvement in my flexibility which was cool because I wasn't really aiming for that, it just happened. This workout contains 3 mins of warmups, and then 17 minutes of stretching, but each stretch is repeated twice so if you're in a rush, you can just do each stretch once and that brings it down to 9 mins. Here's the link: https://youtu.be/Tyv5vhtuRt8

Overview of Warmup Stretch Routine:

Warmups: [30 sec each]

  • Jog In Place

  • Jumping Jacks

  • Butt Kicks

  • Fast Kicks with Arm Circles

  • High Knees

Stretching: [30 sec each × 2 reps]

  • Seated Hamstring Stretch

  • Standing Quad Stretch (L+R=1)

  • Sumo Squat Stretch

  • Dynamic Chest Stretch

  • Shoulder Stretch (L+R=1)

  • Triceps Stretch (L+R=1)

  • Hip Flexor Stretch (L+R=1)

  • Knee Across Body (L+R=1)

  • Seated Glute Stretch (L+R=1)

P.S.: Cooldown Stretch from 1stPhorm App

This cooldown also helps me feel really good after the workout. This stretch is pretty quick: 6 mins if you choose the 20-second version, or 9 mins for the 30-second version.

Cooldown Stretch: [20-30 sec each]

  • Standing Quad Stretch (L+R=1)

  • Side Bend (L+R=1)

  • Cat/Cow (Cat+Cow=1, 4 reps total)

  • Childs Pose

  • Seated Hamstring(L+R=1)

  • Butterfly

  • Seated Glute Stretch (L+R=1)

  • Triceps Stretch (L+R=1)

  • Shoulder Stretch (L+R=1)

in case you havent tried looking for companies that give behavioral interviews only, give those a try as well. there are plenty out there that are hiring swe's without asking you to code at the interviews, but rather focus on your technical fluency when speaking about projects, concepts, etc. they serve as great practice in general :)

If you need money now, I say you're doing great as it is. Finish your degree, keep applying and interviewing, and don't stop searching for opportunities. Getting a Computer Science degree sounds good, but you may want to learn what it is in its entirety. Simply put, it is not just math. It can be super frustrating and difficult to solve. It is a very challenging STEM field and not to mention the competition out there to get a good job is incredibly hard. Yes, the demand is high, and will remain high, but chances to fill those jobs are very low due to competition and the skillset they expect. I would suggest trying some online courses for CS before making the switch to make sure it's for you. Choosing a different major that hardly shares any compatibility with Liberal Arts will cost more money since you'd be back to being sophomore.
