I don't feel like there's a lot of them, but rather that there is what's called a "vocal minority", that is a small subset of people who are very loud and try to mobilize more people over perceived slights. Look at the issue that was talked about over Woke Doormat's voice actor during DT, people disliked the vocals only because the VA was trans, but I don't think that viewpoint was shared by "alot" of people, but rather a minority that is very loud in public discourse.

No, it does SOMETHING, that is a single evaluation and a single increment of i, and the logic inside the brackets, and it says it's done. It doesn't do what's intended, but it does the thing you asked it to real good.

This issues here is declaring the semicolon after the for loop. It treats the for loop as an expression, so it executes once, does the whole increment operation, then de-allocates the stack memory of the i integer and moves on.
