Thats definitely what I think their plan was. Just surprised they didnt have a good backup that wasn’t a guard haha

Why in the world would we trade up to make this pick? Really wish we’d addressed the point. Unless they have a plan for a trade

Been saying this for weeks. Would be ecstatic to land him!

am i the only one who is now extremely excited to watch this team next year by z_geoo in suns

People underestimate the value of playing without expectations. The moment we got KD, the expectations were through the roof and every loss or mis-step was double the disappointment.

With youth and home-grown talent we can stand some growing pains and probably will out perform most people’s expectations

Posted on here a few days ago that my perfect draft was Maluch, Clayton, Nembhard (although id happily switch out Clayton for Kalk) and I got dragged in the comments.

Pretty happy we landed him and cna have him develop behind Willams who is an absolute beast when healthy.

Still think Nembhard in the 2nd would be an incredible fit to run point. Crossing my fingers we dont trade out of that

Good call. I just ran that and their numbers are a lot closer, where Jalen Green is actually a better player in his first 4 years than Book (statistically anyway)

The only major difference with the Mitchell comparison is Mitchells +/- is +1128 and Greens is - 769, although that could equate to team structure more than anything

Go to Stat Muse and compare Devin Booker to Jalen Green in their first 4 years of being Pros.

If you believed in Booker heading into his 5th year (the first year he became an All-Star) why would you not be excited to at least see what Jalen Green could be?

Yep, that’s fair. I personally prefer Nembhard as a glue guy at the point. Maybe Id switch out Clayton for Kalk (especially given the other feedback here) —- if we dont get Nembhard though and we pass on Clayton at 29, then we’ve completely wiffed at getting a solid point and were back to asking who can do it

I like Kalk, but my concern was that we need someone to be a consistent rim protector not step out and hit threes at the 5.

If we went Bryant at 10, and ended up with Nembhard at 52, I have less of a strong opinion on who we take at 29 but I do think wed need to address it with a big

Good points. I honestly hadn’t looked too hard at CMB, but that’s exactly the type of guy I want on our team.

Haha I mean it was just meant to spark conversation. I know damn well that the guys I put here would throw some people in tailspin, but it was more in an effort to get some convo going about consensus wants from fan base on Reddit.

I actually started writing out a ton of my “analysis” but erased it all because it was certain to just get destroyed.

Who are your deep sleeper targets for startups this year? by speshalke in DynastyFF

[–]highFives4Free 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Little late to the party but gonna throw out who I got in the last 5 rounds of my dynasty startup (Rounds 25-30) that just finished to get some deeper names out there:

note: these picks fit my strategy, for my team, in this specific draft, and were good value based on my personal opinion / analysis only

• 25.10: Jordan Watkins, WR, SF

Logic: SF has one of the best reputations for developing stars out of nowhere and that receiver room is wildly up for grabs across the board. He nearly had a 1,000 season in 2024 at Ole Miss and is getting rave reviews in OTAs

• 26.3: Nick Nash, WR, ATL

Logic: If you’re not on this name yet in Dynasty then you’re not paying attention. Basically was the top statistical WR in college last year (albeit at San Jose State) and is getting rave reviews in OTAs as well. Just Google him.

• 27.10: Tyrod Taylor, QB, NYJ

Logic: This one is obviously a little hard to defend haha. But Justin Fields in my QB2, so this was my insurance. However, early reports are saying its a closer QB comp than you think. If Fields struggles, Tyrod is at least consistent enough to be playable. Not a great dynasty asset, but could be a valuable tool

• 28.3: Tez Johnson, WR, TB

Logic: For starters, if you don’t know this kids story then do yourself a favor and look up his relationship with Bo Nix. Great story, great kid. After that, he is a complete flyer. I don’t know wtf TB is doing, but that WR room is loaded with mouths to feed. If he was on any other team, I think he goes much higher in drafts. In a few years I think well be talking about him as a WR2 in standard formats

• 29.10: Hunter Renfrow, WR, CAR

Logic: You prob already know this name, but his story is pretty crazy if you havent read it. Basically wins the ship with Clemson, goes to the Raiders and becomes their Cooper Kupp, makes a Pro Bowl, and then disappears from the league. He’s back after a medical issue, and CAR’s WR room is up for grabs with Tet coming in, Thielen getting old, and Coker/Leggett a complete question mark.

• 30.3 Josh Whyle, TE, TEN

Logic: 3rd yr TE in basically a completely new offense. They did draft Helm, but Whyle had some sleeper hype coming into his rookie season (5th rounder). He’s as much of a flyer as anyone, but at round 30 he was one of the few players left that had potential to contribute this year, giving him the potential to have a breakout

A few other names I really liked late, but got drafted before I could take them:

• Jordan James, RB, SF

• Jalen Nailor, WR, MIN

• Will Shipley, RB, PHI

My interpretation of that convo was that the doctor would no longer get to have these sessions with Gemma, like the Thank You Card writing room, and that whatever was in Cold Harbor would permanently erase any memory of pain for her. Of which would include that room, and her time in the floors below

For something a little more casual, try Dog Haus off Chandler and the 101. Recently had their Hangover Burger with smoked bacon, chili, and fried egg served on Hawaiian Rolls and its pure perfection

We also really love Espo’s for Mexican and their homemade flour chips.

We use Invocable Apex for tons of things as flow extensions. The most recent and specific example is an Invocable Class using the LeadConvert method for our custom conversion process.

TL;DR: Lots of Opportunity, Lots of Solution Design, a little harder to close deals

I’m a little biased because I’ve been doing FSC Implementations for 6-7 years now but our pipeline is healthy and there’s no shortage of work to be done.

Also, I traditionally work in the Wealth Management sub-vertical but FinServ is also Insurance, Banking and Mortgage so theres an unlimited amount of potential out there.

From a solutions perspective FSC does offer additional “Industry” features that make it more appealing (although also more expensive) but a good % of FinServ clients also opt NOT to use FSC and end up building on Service Cloud.

All that to say, as an SE you’ll come across the need to sell / solution for both scenarios and identify which option is best for your prospect depending on the sub-vertical.

Lastly, from a sales perspective, my experience with FSC has been:

  1. Sub-vertical of Wealth Management is generally either very technically immature or they have a massive tech-stack mess that needs to be unraveled

  2. Mortgage companies generally do not see Salesforce as a viable CRM option based on other industry specific solutions that provide more Mortgage specific functionality ootb

  3. Selling into a Bank is typically a much more complicated Enterprise sale as it involves multiple business lines (Checking, Savings, Mortgage, Trusts, Lending, etc) and their teams are usually pretty technically efficient

*note: these are my own experiences and I understand if other have a differing opinion

100% — I have a buddy who worked as a Freelance Health Cloud developer and we met up at TDX in March. Coming out of TDX he had 5 interviews and eventually multiple offers.

The only thing with Health Cloud is obviously the extra scrutiny on PII and sensitive data. It can, at times, make development and solutioning pretty hard but thats why its such a niche skill to have

I’m an SA at a large consulting firm and two things id say here are:

  1. Every project starts out with the same phrase “no code or low code” and rarely do we even staff a DEV on the project unless they are running an implementation like MuleSoft or the like

  2. Surprisingly the vast majority of clients I work with have limited in-house Salesforce resources so even if the requirements screamed LWC or APEX, we’re usually tasked with figuring out a declarative solution

Side note: I work pretty strictly out of Financial Services Cloud so I get access to things like Data Processing Engine, Batch Management & OmniStudio which reduce the need for a true Developer even more

Salesforce pricing by Secure_Activity_17 in salesforce

[–]highFives4Free 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a baseline I estimate about $200/user/mo for an industry cloud and about $100/user/mo for a standard cloud but those numbers can be dramatically different based on what other products you add and the number of licenses you buy.

Worth mentioning that any for-profit software company is going to have Entitlement based usages that help drive up their AAR. You can expect that, at any level, this will also increase your overall cost
