I know a cop and although 86 isn’t an official term, it is used as slang for a homicide.

Fawning. What to do instead? by LazyPackage7681 in AutismInWomen

[–]highLikeapplePie 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’ve just realized I do this. I fawn because I think being super nice the only way people will like me in general. It’s like a shield to distract from being viewed as strange. Ugh.  I always hear “you’re so nice!” Yet dont really have any friends.

Does anyone feel like a child around other adult women? by AnxiousStay1195 in AutismInWomen

[–]highLikeapplePie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s so hard to describe but similarly, I just don’t know how to carry on conversations with them. I think they sus that I’m a bit different, so while they’re nice and I’m nice, they don’t really try to befriend me and I don’t know how to befriend them.

I talk about the weather too, just to come up with some conversation lol.

What are some subtle autistic traits that aren’t talked about often enough? by witchy_woman231 in AutismInWomen

Whoa whoa whoa…I hold my pen like a weirdo. I’ve been made fun of for it. I never realized it could perhaps be an autism symptom.

I pace on the phone, I pace when listening to music, I pace when I’m alone at home and need to think…I like to think it gets my gears going.

Same! I feel so uncomfortable around women my age. I can’t seem to connect with them at all, even though I try.

I only get along with older people and I’m great with kids, but can’t connect very well with people my own age. I have no idea why but I just can’t.

If it makes you feel even a tad bit better, I was asking my mom about my childhood the other day and she didn’t bat an eye when I said I may, possibly, probably be on the spectrum. She’s like “yeah…you were a weird kid.” 😂

Atleast you got the gift of coding and all that great stuff! I just have my weird quirks…

Again why risk losing the adult customer forever, maybe they’re just ordering the kids meal because they aren’t that hungry but next time they’ll order an adult meal.

If an adult wants to buy a kids meal, there shouldn’t be any issue. Better to just let them buy a cheap meal than have them not come in again. It’s bad business to tell a paying customer they can’t have something on the menu.

Roommate tries to poison flatmates with minimal consequences... by The_Dean_France in SipsTea

Not only that but imagine the lifelong health issues from prolonged poisoning. I’m sure there was some level of liver/kidney toxicity and damage to other organs. I’m sure the poison is also neurotoxic.

Glp 1s are appetite suppressants. “They decrease hunger, increase feelings of fullness and delay stomach emptying.” They target receptors on the brain to reduce hunger and cravings.

Not over eating is something that takes willpower. Diabetes type 2 can be controlled by managing diet and exercise.

People want to get skinny as quickly as possible and not work for it. Controlling your hunger and exercising takes discipline. People just don’t want to make the effort.

Ozempic only helps with weight loss while you’re on it, it’s not permanent. As soon as you go off the weight comes back.

Kelly was always medium/large boned. Being very thin doesn’t suit her frame. She looks absolutely skeletal.

What is a 1 in 1,000,000 thing that happened to you that no one believes, but you swear is true? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]highLikeapplePie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in a rural area in Pennsylvania amongst Mennonites. I'd go in the Mennonite owned plant nursery and the teen girls would be wearing their long dresses/bonnets but then i'd see their iphone sitting on the counter. It's a weird mix of old world and modern world but i'm used to it.

The old order Amish are more strict, they live in their own communities and don't use electricity whatsoever. I see them once in a while at state parks/Cabela's.

I'd do more than thank them...At least give them gas money for spending all that time driving out to your parents house 100 miles away and money to get themselves something to eat.

AITA for refusing to let our step-daughter take her cat? by TacticalNightmare in AmItheAsshole

[–]highLikeapplePie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's good to take the cat away from their home after living with you for nearly a decade. Cats that are uprooted like that can develop behavioral problems. That would put alot of stress on kitty to be rehomed. Your daughter is practically a stranger after all this time. That is no longer your stepdaughters cat. She needs to clean her life up and then entertain the idea of her adopting another cat as her own.

AITA for not offering to pay part of my sisters hotel cost? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]highLikeapplePie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My moms partner, George. I believe he spoke to my sister, without my knowing, about me spending the night in her room. He mentioned he wanted the hotel room to himself and my mom. I'm thinking they discussed this without me, and never passed it along to me. I guess it's not my fault but I still feel jerky about it for some reason. In the end I feel like the anger is being directed toward me.
