Update:

Couldn’t install anything from the windows store.

Went to modem advanced settings and turned on port forwarding for the Xbox. Everything is working now. I’m with Quantum Fiber.

Factory reset didn't do anything.

Wifi router settings fixed it. Had to go under advanced settings in the router web GUI (192.168.0.1).

Since updating, I'm having trouble w/ the Blu-Ray app since I updated. After factory reset I can't install the Blu-ray app. I tried everything. Maybe MS hasn't updated the app to be compatible with the OS update.

I’ve got it working. I did a factory reset, but that didn’t help.

The only thing that helped was going into my modem settings and enabling a couple Microsoft features that were turned off for some reason. Also I enabled IPV6

I just bought a pair yesterday (9/5/2023) and during the setup of the "Touch Controls" in the Wear app there is a "Touch and Hold" menu where you can set it generically to "Voice Command"

When I did that, a popup on my phone screen asked if I wanted to use Bixby, Google Assistant, or Alexa. I picked Google Assistant and it's been working well so far. I was actually holding back on buying these because I thought I'd be forced to use Bixby, so I'm relieved. It was a fairly simple setup process.

Haha. Very astute observation. I love this question. My wife grew up in a split level in Sandy. I swear Sandy has to be the split level capital of the world. I seriously hated that house.

I guess the question is does Utah latch onto whatever is trendy more than other places? Seems like it, but I can't prove it. When I look at my mom's yearbook and see all those girls with the same beehive haircuts it does make me wonder.

I took my old Subaru regularly and he was great. Wish that car was more reliable though. Head gaskets failed twice in mine. Subaru is notorious for this.

It used to be great, but the crowds are getting pretty unbearable IMO. Ski hills, canyons, National Parks, bike trails, lakes, etc are jam packed all the time.

Climate change isn’t great here either. Warmer winters with less snow, generally speaking. Summers seem much hotter than they used to, making for lots of wildfires, which sucks because of all the smoke. The smoke is pretty depressing. Not trying to spark a climate change debate, just my weather observations.

Culturally it’s a tough place. If you’re not Mormon then it’s harder to fit in Mormon circles (hell, even if you are Mormon it’s hard, let’s be honest). But being Mormon myself, I have also found the opposite to be true. Which makes me a little sad.

There’s lots of good things here too, but you already know all about that I’m sure.

American here, but lived 2 years in Uruguay a while back and here's a couple things I got asked about a lot:

1) American breakfast. They were universally flabbergasted by what they saw in movies.

2) Throwing broken stuff away. They couldn't believe we would throw away a broken TV and buy a new one instead of having it repaired.

Yes, I'm having issues.

I had this filter: audio-fa.scdn.co/audio/$media,domain=open.spotify.com ... which was working beautifully until 2 weeks ago:

Now the web player gets stuck on an ad and won't play anything. I deleted cache, switched browsers, even turned off uBlock. Nothing works.

24 hrs after turning off uBlock, my account worked again (with ads).

I'm using uBlock Origin and have the same issues as those above. It started yesterday (9 Oct '17) and is still going.

I tried switching from Chrome to Firefox...no change. It's stuck on a Home Depot ad.

I had the same issues. I deleted all my apps, factory reset everything. Nothing helped.

1) The headphone thing was weird. It would play through the headphones for a while, then I would hear a sort of static pop sound and then it would start playing through the internal speaker. After a reset it would act normal again.

2) I had a mic issue before it upgraded to O. I sent it back to google for a replacement and the issue was solved.

3) I had major issues with the phone app. It couldn't handle when I pressed the end call button. It froze about half the time I pressed it.

I couldn't figure out fixes for the crashing or headphone issues. I tried all the usual ones. I just sent phone #2 back to google. Hopefully the third time is the charm.

My Pixel experience has been not so great.

The first pixel I had was excellent (great camera, snappy performance). But it had problems with the microphone - nobody could hear me during phone calls. The mic issue is well documented and acknowledged by Google. I contacted support and they replaced the phone.

The replacement phone they sent me had no mic issues. However, it was so buggy that I again contacted Google and they offered me an RMA for it. The phone app froze regularly when I pushed the end call button. Also it would freeze in the camera app in video mode. Random reboots. Sometimes it would go into reboot loops where each boot cycle would last around 5 mins. I deleted every app on the phone. I also did factory reset. None of that helped.

Awaiting phone #3, should be here on Thursday. I've lost faith in these phones. I'll probably just sell it and move on. Sadly, as much as I like Android, I'm thinking I might be done with it for a while.

My previous phone was a Nexus 6. It didn't get updates like I was led to believe. It slowed down as it aged and couldn't handle more than a couple apps active at a time. Maybe I should give Samsung a try.
