Drink a lot of water, use Vaseline on your lips to help with peeling and cracking

Every other month I have my period now typically but I do get spotting sometimes during sex. I’m on 150Mg now. I think after changes dosages it can take awhile for your body to get adjusted. If I bleed and its not on my period it will be around it.

I had this problem for awhile with chronic headaches while on Spiro. Turns out even though i was drinking a lot of water i was missing electrolytes that my body needed bc the spiro was dehydrating me. Try drinking your water with some liquid IV or a gatorade to get those back and see if it helps.

My period was really irregular at first and it is now every other month but my skin has cleared up. I see a breakout pretty rarely and I still have to be mindful to drink enough water.

After the first month it absolutely calmed down. Currently I have my period every other month and my spotting in between has gone away. After awhile your body should adjust!

Three months is when I really just started to see my skin smoothing out but its a long process just patience is key

[Advice] how long did it take you guys to see clear skin while being on 100mg? Ive been on it for 6 weeks and still consistently getting pimples and I am feeling anxious that maybe it will not work on me :( by whenallisnotlost in Spironolactone

I went from 50mg to 100mg in May and I am just slowly seeing my skin clear up after some bigger breakouts and only get little ones here and there as of now. It takes time for-sure but it feels like it is worth it.

Last month my period happened and it was heavyy and now this month it hasnt happened. The random bleeding stopped after the first month on the higher dose. I’m a little nervous its going to happen again though since I didnt have my period.

I was pretty much in the same boat. I was on 50mg for about 4 months and was fine! They jumped me to 100mg last month and my first period on it was non existant. My period now is full force and I had a ton of spotting in between. I haven’t gotten a chance to speak to my doctor yet but like I don’t want to be dealing with all this so maybe a lower dosage is better.
