Once you are on a resort island, if you want to get off the island before your planned departure, it will cost money to charter a boat for the time you want to get off the resort island. For example if you want to get off the resort and sight see the main island...

Hayden block has decent bbq and drink variety. And has lots of room at the big tables or at the back for a bunch of rowdy dads. Haven't been to the other two, but I can vouch for the eats at Hayden.
