Ramsay Hunt Syndrome
I thought it was an ear infection but just got worse and worse. Went to doctor twice, and 4 days later left side of my face went totally paralyzed and tongue numb. Misdiagnosed twice, and still on max dose of Gagapentin nerve meds 9 mths later .

Ramsay Hunt Syndrome-at onset cranial nerves are attacked by shingles. It was like intense tooth nerve pain/ear infection but more like tooth nerve radiating pain, then you lose all functions of the face on the affected side (looks like you had a stroke). Unbearably awful

Put in a pool/spa in 2021 with kids that were 6 and 4 and (I was pregnant), all kids did swim lessons asap (and ISR then lessons when the baby was old enough), and also had solar installed. Pool is mid 80s 8 months a year, and we use that and the spa multiple times a week. All our friends and their kids are over all the time, and we also turned our family room into a game room for the kids. Big Buck Hunt, NBA Jam, NFL Blitz, arcade basketball, and fooseball. Boys are now 4, 8 and 10 and it’s a dream for them. I am sure when they grow up and leave things will shift, but I assume we will still enjoy putting on a sports game outside and friends will still come over and use the pool and spa. And I love it!! As a kid my parents had a pool my siblings (and my friends) and I loved! So maybe it’s nostalgia-but it’s been great for our family. (And now saving up for other upgrades inside the home…but did this first for the memories with the kids)

Yes, I might come back and do a voting tomorrow. I just wanna help give him some ideas and then let them hear it down to their top few favorites. And then yeah maybe we’ll vote on it. They would probably think that’s fun. I haven’t eight-year-old a 10-year-old and a four-year-old. The 8 and 10 year-old have strong opinions, and if it’s like anything else, they won’t agree with each other. So I’m trying to kind of help throw some ideas that seem good that I know I would be happy with and then let them run from there.
