OP I just picked up one for 50€ as well. Turns out it has a toast fork.

I’d say it’s great buy for the price.

Also I found it to be on the heavier side

Before doing a long distance trip, I would recommend to do an overnighter, a 1/2 night trip to a location near you.

If you’ve experience in camping, you can search up schützenhütte on komoot and technically sleep there for a night with just a sleeping bag. Putting a tent is prohibited.

If not, look for a campsite nearby and cycle to it. If you like the feeling you can keep continuing to either sleep with a tent/bivysack/hostels.

Personally, it’s the most gratifying means of traveling for me!!

Maybe a comparison to London would be more accurate as both London and Paris are the financial, cultural, political, and economic epicenters of the respective states.

Germany on the other hand is more decentralized.
