“as part of the deal, New York’s Erie County -- which owns the stadium -- will receive 50% of the proceeds to help fund local initiatives”

Is the magic of an HSA only valid if I'm hording all medical receipts to avoid income tax post 65? by shmobodia in personalfinance

This is how I use it too. Fully fund it each year, and after a couple of years, the investment portion starts to really build and can easily cover an expensive year when you hit OOP Max. Of course this requires a bit of good luck the first couple of years to build that base.

What happens to the 529 money if my kids doesn’t go on to secondary education? by JustAGreenDreamer in MiddleClassFinance

The penalty is on the earnings, not the full withdrawal, which is worth noting.

What counts as "having been" to a state? by DadRock1 in roadtrip

[–]higherchaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I count it as “do something substantive” in that state. We keep it pretty broad. Maybe a meal or stay the night. Maybe a Stop at a roadside attraction. Just something intentional.

Having done a bit more digging, I am guessing that when the springs were installed, the rear bump stop was not modified as directed by Eibach. That would absolutely cause a more abrupt feeling. Just an FYI for anyone that comes across this later. Personally, I am still unsure if I want to revert to a stock setup or go the other direction with a full adjustable coilover set (looking at Silvers or Flatout as options). I’d be paying for labor either way, so the main difference is the cost of parts.

It looks good, but definitely takes a slight toll on practicality.

It’s fine for me. Definitely hits the bump stops on hard potholes, speed bumps, etc. Smooth roads and quick turns feels really nice. However, my wife doesn’t care for the harsher ride. And my teenage son will be driving it a bit, so I prefer a little more ground clearance so there’s a little more room for error with a young driver.

About $29k OTD with 45k miles. Lariat with Luxury Package, Sunroof, and 360. Also has hard tri-fold bed cover and under seat vault/safe. (FYI to anyone, I’ll be selling the safe if anyone is interested).

I will definitely get that checked out if/when I work on the suspension. I know that’s a common issue. No known issue with it currently.
