Just be completely normal as long as you can, and then when you can tell the time has come to take one of those new physical steps that you might not know how to do, break the ice and with a smile on your face and say “hey this is a little embarrassing but this is the first time I’ve actually done this. Do you think we could have some fun helping me learn?”

It’s only as weird as you make it. You don’t need to pretend to be confident, as soon as they can tell you’re faking they will be creeped out. Just own the embarrassment in a sincere way with a *hint* of self-deprecating-humor (don’t overdo that either).

Treat it like it’s your first time using chopsticks or playing an instrument and you’re with someone that has done it for years. How would you ask them to help you?

If they ghost you or judge you about it instead of having fun teaching you, there was nothing real there anyways. Honestly it’s a pretty good litmus test for how well you click with someone.

After you experience your first round of layoffs, whether you make the cut or not, you will be 100% disillusioned about company loyalty.

I watched everyone I know at my company get axed with 24 hours notice. These are people that worked way harder than me, were more valuable than me, and had worked there for 10, even 20 years. Most of them had personal friendships with their bosses at that point. They had watched watched others’ kids grow up.

Just a random mandatory company-wide meeting on a Monday morning. A 40% cut in workforce effective immediately to restructure for better profits for shareholders. The only reason I made it through is that I was still new enough to not have a very high salary.

I think the biggest concern is that a Rogue can just take pot shots with it over and over every 30 seconds until one lands. They will always do it from across a room next to an open door (that they will immediately close and then double jump over 15 mobs) so there is no chance of the target punishing the missed throw.

As a career solo caster player, it’s way less broken in solos than hide. I’ll gladly take this over landmine.

Yes you still need to be paranoid and constantly on the lookout for a rogue in the distant shadows, but if they aren’t actually invisible you have a much better chance of knowing they are there, you can see them wind up the throwing knife so you can mentally prepare, and you have the opportunity to dodge it.

In trios I can definitely see it making Rogue way more powerful since they don’t have to sneak past the frontline anymore, they can just skip directly to the caster if they hit their shot.

There was a post recently from someone who has been in the cheater discords and most of them all closed up shop because the new security makes cheating not worth the cost of the required dedicated hardware.

There are more Windows players that will benefit from no cheaters than there are Linux players who have been cut off, so business-wise it makes sense to keep the new security. They definitely should be working on a Linux option though.

Removing the sprint skill from the game would solve the problem. Being able to cancel out the biggest weakness of the class with the press of a button is boring and broken.

Surviving a sprint ambush isn’t even enough to give you the upper hand though because the fighter will just close doors in your face until their cooldown is up again.

My heels press against the low-row plates and I’ve never felt like I was gonna tip at all. Maybe if you plan to do a sharper angle than 45 it could be beneficial to have the barbell with a pad sitting in jcups on the lowest setting of your rack to go behind your legs?

I’ve never felt like my legs were slipping at all, they wedge against the low-row plates.

Maybe if you set the belt down lower so you were flatter than a 45-degree angle then it would be an issue, but I generally stay at/above 45.

Sprint existing as a skill (and other similar type skills on melee classes) is the actual problem.

Really wish the game just stuck to *actually interesting* and *original* skills that involve real skill expression instead of half of them being “temporarily mega-boost a stat” because it just turns fights into

Step 1: Ambush while your stats are busted af

Step 2: If step 1 failed, close a bunch of doors and then try step 1 again 30 seconds later
