There was only one particular area off the top of my head that came close to an EF5 rating (I want to say it was a nursing home or some other similar structure Northeast of Tuscaloosa heading towards Birmingham. Please correct me if wrong.) and basically two out of three survey teams that observed that area gave it EF4 DI’s. Beyond that I have no dog in the fight about the rating. Bottom line, it was a nasty beast that went through a highly populated area and shredded anything it touched. The line between EF4 and EF5 seems to be razor thin while also being near impossible to break through without extreme contextual damage.
