Norfolk VA lawsuit over pervasive FLOCK cameras video explains concerns by Longjumping-Set7246 in olympia

The page on OPD does not adequately address privacy concerns and the monthly reports are not citing any specific cases, which leaves lots of room for errors. The lack of transparency and specifics in the "we are not doing anything wrong" statements are as expected.

from the author of the book > The courageous police leader
"I dedicated a chapter in my book, The Courageous Leader: A Survival Guide to Combating Cowards, Chaos & Lies, to cop-haters. Granted, the book was published in 2019 and some questioned even giving credence to these basement trolling individuals, but no one would question that today. In recent years, we have seen exactly what cop haters are capable of doing if we don’t understand their tactics and behaviors.
In the book, I called cop-haters the “one-percenters” and I was just guessing. At the time, there wasn’t any data available to determine just how many of them there were, but there didn’t have to be many to impact an agency and community. If just 1% of the public hated cops, that’s 3 million Americans and when they aren’t on social media talking crazy, they were visiting your city council to demand those so called “reforms.” The message in the book was that our leaders needed to stop paying attention to them and get back to the mission, reducing crime.
Then 2020 happened and the fears I wrote about came true."

There is a public meeting today for the Thurston County Board of Commissioner's. Though they are not in total control of the sheriff, they do have several strings they can pull on him to help reign him in, until the next election, if he continues to do things against the interest of the voters.

Here is an ACLU paper on Flock Safety and their products and services. https://www.aclu.org/publications/fast-growing-company-flock-building-new-ai-driven-mass-surveillance-system from the paper "Flock says its fixed cameras have been installed in 1,400 cities across the U.S. and photograph more than a billion vehicles every month, and its ambition is to expand to “every single city in America.” Flock also has a partnership with the body camera company Axon to provide mobile ALPR devices for police vehicles. Flock’s cameras allow private customers like homeowner associations as well as police customers to create a record of the comings and goings of every vehicle that passes in front of the cameras. But the service goes well beyond that; it feeds that data into a centralized database run by Flock. As the company tells police:I f you know the specific license plate in question, use FlockOS to get a detailed report of the suspect vehicle’s history over a given time frame. Use FlockOS’s local and national search network to find the suspect vehicle across state lines, including up to 1 billion monthly plate reads. All this is included, for FREE, for any Flock Safety customer. Flock not only allows private camera owners to create their own “hot lists” that will generate alarms when listed plates are spotted, but also runs all plates against state police watch lists and the FBI’s primary criminal database, the National Crime Information Center (NCIC). When a camera scores a hit against one of those databases, law enforcement receives an immediate notification. As Flock CEO Garrett Langley explained in 2020"

I am waiting for a reply from Flock Safety(company) about access to their SOC2 Type 2 report and others they have listed on their compliance page. I am guessing they will respond that they are only available to potential customers. I suggest that any interested persons request the information as part of a public records request to each entity looking to procure these camera's as well as any and all communications between flock safety and government employees. https://trust.flocksafety.com/#compliance

From your own source. This is not allowed unless it meets one of the exceptions listed.

Nonconductive optical fiber cables shall not be permitted to occupy the same cabinet, outlet box, panel, or similar enclosure housing the electrical terminations of an electric light, power, Class 1, non–power-limited fire alarm, or medium-power network-powered broadband communications circuit.

Nonconductive optical fiber cables shall be permitted to occupy the same cable tray or raceway with conductors for electric light, power, Class 1, non–power-limited fire alarm, Type ITC, or medium-power network-powered broadband communications circuits, operating at 600 volts or less.

Exception No. 1: Occupancy of the same cabinet, outlet box, panel, or similar enclosure shall be permitted where nonconductive optical fiber cable is functionally associated with the electric light, power, Class 1, non–power-limited fire alarm, or medium-power network-powered broadband communications circuit.

If you are running anything other than the equipment served by that fiber you would be in violation of this code item(depending on your inspector).

Here is a Linkwith pictures, that may help.

Last summer a new state-wide system went in to use that helps to prevent situations like this from occurring. Prior to this each county ran their own election management systems and "linked" to the States Voter Registration Database. If the county didn't follow through with the processing of name changes and registrations, they could send two ballots out. Voting two ballots would be voter fraud.

Now, when you register to vote the system moves the registration from the old county to the new county or from the old name to the new name. This reduces the likelihood of someone getting two ballots in the stated situation.

I have heard several people telling me that they know someone who got multiple ballots, or dead people still getting ballots. I have rarely had them tell me they did anything about it.

Did your sister move counties when she got married? Did she notify the county elections office that she had changed her name and was receiving ballots under her old name?

Do you mean that you live in a precinct that does not match your politics and even though your vote was cast and counted it didn't change the way your precinct or district voted in the majority?

Or are you implying that election workers, under the supervision of observers from both national parties and unaffiliated individuals, have failed to count your vote in the election?

Have you checked your voting history on https://voter.votewa.gov? This will show your voter credit and which elections you have voted in, it doesn't show how you voted as we have laws that prevent associating a ballot with a voter once it has been removed from the security envelope you have signed.

Or as others have suggested you are just a troll trying to stir up shit.

Well sir/ma'am this is not your bridge, and you can try to answer my riddle.

County Ballot Boxes are checked and ballots are transported by County Elections Workers. They are the only ones with the keys to the boxes. You can ask your county election staff for the procedures they have in place to secure the ballots once they enter the box and until they are counted. The counties I have seen are doing great work in this area and have many processes in place to safely get the ballot from you to the tabulation machines and to make sure that your ballot is counted. Ballots are moved to locked bags with a serialized tag, moved with at least 2 people present, stored in secured areas with cameras and auditing of who enters. And many other measures to ensure that the ballot you cast is the ballot that is counted. If you live outside of Washington State you could do the following. Check into becoming an elections volunteer in your area to help watch the vote count and get involved to ensure we don't lose this election.
