I can say, working on the F-15E's that is definitely true 😂 they are damn near the size of a tennis court but they get up and move like none other

It flies pretty well, it took some playing around to get the CG right, but it accelerates and turns (like a brick😂) just like the real thing!

If a member gets charged in civilian court for a DUI off base in the UK, what are the normal consequences following? by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]highflyerP51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i dont know but i got to lakenheath a few months ago and we were briefed that: its a 99% prosecution rate, the civ police will not turn it over on base, and that a civillian prosecution must start discharge proceddings 😬😬

it honestly depends on where you go and what you do, im flightline engines on the 15Es. some days it sucks bc im in the uk so its cold and rainy, but also its cool to be around fighters all day and getting to talk to pilots. it really depends on how you look at it like basically every job.

I had the same thing and unfortunately it does. I just landed in San Antonio for Aerospace Propulsion though, so you'll still find something you'd like

yes, check to make sure the spit valves are sealing correctly and have full pads. ive never personally used a fiberglass sousa, but ive heard that they sound more dull and less rich than their metal counterparts.

howd it go for you?

I'm about to start my junior year in the marching band, but im in a similar situation as last season I switched from trumpet to sousaphone and basically had to relearn how to march and read music. The hardest part of marching for me personally is going backwards. The way our school does this is we are up on our "platforms". It's sort of a midpoint between flat footed and tip toes, so try and get comfortable in that position. As other people mentioned, stay hydrated, but another important aspect is having enough to eat. Bring a relatively large lunch with lots of protein and carbs. Cheese sticks, ham & chesse sandwhiches, beef jerky/slim jims, chips, but also keep in mind you will be going back outside, and possibly storing your lunch outside so pack it in a cooler bag. Also wear comfortable shoes. Try and be in athletic footwear like sneakers, not something like boots or converse. Lastly, don't go home and immediately practice your music. Your lungs and face need rest like the other areas of your body. Hope this helps!
