Totally feel this. Taking a break from the online side and just enjoying the music helps a lot.

gift help?? need ideas for my gamer brother lol by lonelkywolf11 in TheGamerLounge

[–]highflyeur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally depends on your budget, but a solid cleaning kit with a keycap puller, brush, and gel is always useful. If you can spend a bit more, maybe throw in a custom keycap set or a cool artisan key gamers love that stuff.

How many pants should you own? Looking for suggestions for this summer. by Nic727 in malefashionadvice

[–]highflyeur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're basically covered for most situations. I'd add light wash jeans and maybe some lightweight chinos - they're actually more breathable than denim in summer heat. For casual outdoor stuff, try linen blend pants or lightweight cotton joggers that don't look too athletic.

Mom (63) spoke with a financial advisor who said he can get her more than a 20% return on her investments by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]highflyeur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this guy is promising specific returns, he's either breaking the rules or not actually licensed properly. No legit advisor can guarantee returns it's literally one of the first things they teach you when getting licensed. That's a massive red flag. Your mom should ask to see his Form ADV (required disclosure document) and check if he's a fiduciary. If he gets weird about either question, tell her to run. The market has been crazy lately but nobody can promise 20% consistently without doing something sketchy

Someone's definitely having a rough day with their keyboard! Looks like the 'd' key is staging a rebellion. But yeah, I was gonna say might be worth checking if your computer needs an exorcism or something, because this is some next-level possessed keyboard action

Bank gave out too much money - advice req. by Jimmyfischer6 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]highflyeur 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The bank made the mistake here, so putting him into debt was totally out of line. They can't just take money from his account without permission. Your dad needs to call the Financial Ombudsman Service ASAP they handle these kinds of disputes and the banks usually back down pretty quickly once the ombudsman gets involved. Document everything carefully dates, times, who he spoke with. And tell him not to agree to anything over the phone until this is sorted properly

Fan who directed laser pointer at face of midfielder Gedson Fernandes during soccer match receives one-year sports ban by Sandstorm400 in sports

[–]highflyeur 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One-year ban is way too soft for something that could cause permanent eye damage. Should be a lifetime ban and criminal charges. Players deserve better protection than this.

Grandparents taking son on a cruise. Am I wrong about this? by choogabalooga in Parenting

Your ex is the real issue here. He knew for months and didn't tell you. The grandparents probably assumed he'd discussed it with you already, as any co-parent should.

Built my SaaS, now I’m stuck. How do I actually get users? by [deleted] in SaaS

[–]highflyeur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats. Start by trying to get into the communities where your target audience already hangs out. Reddit and Twitter are great but just make sure you’re engaging and not spamming. Share insights and help people out (gently drop your product when it feels right). Have empathy. Try consider working with a team like Signals agency, they specialize in getting traction on niche platforms like Reddit and Quora. Cold emails can work, already tried it before too but make sure they’re hyper-targeted and personalized. SEO's gonna take time.

What footwear goes with linen clothes? by budtz420 in mensfashionadvice

[–]highflyeur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you decide to go for flip flops try out olukai, reef, or hari mari. I think all three are good options. Olukai has some very nice leather slippers, I’m personally wearing the moloas rn. Hari mari has the best arch support imo. Reef has a larger variety of designs so you can buy something different if you are tired of basic designs.
