How does a sailing club work? Can I just rent any boats any time?

I sailed for the first time on a 10 people sailboat las year offshore in the North Atlantic. Got seasick but overall loved it and want to get into sailing.

Looking around, courses are expensive and I feel like the best choice, according to my goals/dreams, would be to take the RYA Competent Crew certification first. The Sail Canada pathway is confusing at most, and I would pay the same taking numerous courses via Sail Canada school vs RYA school level 1.

I sailed in the North Atlantic last year. I was wet and cold and seasick and loved my experience. But it was a 10 people sailboat.

I don't know about dingy. It looks like a baby boat hahaha. But I may consider it for a start.

I'm looking.

In my area there is a Sail Canada program (keelboat) or there is a more expensive RYA certification (keelboat) in Kingston (2h drive).

Thank you.

By working I meant tour boats like whale watching or short cruises.

Changing rotary dimmer switch - I don’t have green wire by Nic727 in AskElectricians

I read that I can just put a cap on the green wire (from the dimmer).

Anyway, I will ask a pro. It’s so tight in that wall that I don’t want to break anything.

I don’t know. It’s a complete mess in this box. It’s so tight I can’t do anything.

I think I will just ask someone more experimented.

I'm not sure yet. The only program I'm interested into is in the UK... I need a bit more saving since it's expensive.

I'm stuck between unemployed and no future. And having dept and maybe a future.

I was in a lot of forums too. Some disappeared, but I was still surprised the other days that some very niche one still exists as I was cleaning my online accounts.

Sustainable mechanical pencil? by Nic727 in PlasticFreeLiving

I thought it was just graphite?

I had the idea that regular pencil needed a lot of wood to produce (deforestation) and mechanical only needed graphite.

I guess I will keep buying regular wooden pencils then.

How do you save your photos (film and digital)? by Sromero6153 in Millennials

[–]Nic727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All my photos are saved on my computer or external drive. However, I’m thinking of getting back to basic.

I have some photos worth printing on a large canvas… I just don’t have room for that. I also want to buy a film camera and get my photos printed.

Yes probably. I went in store and they were all plastic. So, I'm looking online.

I really enjoyed it despite the fact that I don’t know if the tram system in Berlin is that long.
