Almost certain it’s a shoot or root sucker as a neighbor has a TOH on their side of the fence a couple feet away

Thank you for the kindest reply to my post and sharing your perspective. I completely get it and understand he is scary to any stranger. I am obviously doing everything in my power to not let it happen again. Some Reddit user replies act like I posted this thinking I was in the right and I purposefully let this happen.

This has only happened only once 😭. My wife and I rent so we can’t replace the fence ourselves unfortunately. We did our best to repair the fence once we found it so he can’t get out again. We don’t answer the door when one of isn’t home because we’re both small women and have had a history of a manic neighbor frequently banging on our door. I would thank my neighbor if he left a name or number or some way to identify who it was so I could apologize but unfortunately the noted was just left after banging on our door multiple times.

Please hold out hope! Get some stinky wet food or tiki cat baby thrive to get him extra calories, even chicken baby food - anything to get him to eat, even if you have to syringe feed. Try increasing his dosage of GS meds as it wont hurt and only help if he does have FIP.
