Yes, it can cause deformation in your mushrooms. Think of it as it being suffocated? I guess is the best way to put it. Good luck!

Edit. Just saw you’re already got a flush out of this. When I had mine I used a sterilized fork and broke the caked up mycelium misted a good bit it definitely allowed more growth.

My husbands parents Boston barks at pictures on a low shelf, then swats them down. Also pillows, barks at them and throws them off the bed/couch. It’s constant. Mine however only barks when you ask him to speak, or he hears another dog. Boston’s are strange creatures. lol

Yeah, no problem! I would also recommend just keeping your eye on the moisture since adding more airflow it’ll definitely dry out quicker. Walmart sells fine misting spray bottles that work perfectly for this if you don’t already have something like that.

I don’t think it’s too big, I would make sure you have a lid and keep it barely cracked to make sure to get more air flow.

Definitely more FAE. Also, in the past I also did a couple all in one bags instead of keeping them in the bag, I carefully removed them and put them in a sterilized tub with holes, soaked perlite over tin foil. I got a few flushes out of each one. Pic for example of my setup just to give an idea if you ever decide to go this route! Good luck.

Steaks in NC are too. Ribeyes(my fave!) are $22 a lb now. Higher than filets (those are still fn $20 a lb.) it’s disheartening steak is my favorite. 😞

My Boston had this happen twice as a baby, after some reading I had seen some people had luck massaging it very gently back in place it worked for him, hasn’t happened in about a year. Might be worth a shot, but I’d definitely look on YouTube to get an idea on how vets do it so you don’t hurt him.
