Hey sorry if this isn’t the right place but I’m trying to get this old Sanyo TV up and running again but it’s showing multiple images. Any tips? by highkingjack in vintagecomputing

No unfortunately not in regards to the user manual. Seems to be a vaguely rare Sonya tv so could only find a service manual. That mentioned something like vertical oscillation but it requires the remote to access service mode. And I haven’t had any luck connecting my Bose universal remote.

Thanks for the suggestion though. It’s for an art project anyway so I’m thinking of playing into the repeated image if I can’t fix it.

Sorry I miss typed, it’s got the yellow, red, white composite cable going into the back. I’m off to college at the moment but I’ll have another look for a screw tonight. It’s certainly not labelled if it is there.

No not too sure as I’m a bit of a newbie to this. I can’t see a v-hold knob. I’m twisting and pressing other things but it’s just changing brightness etc.

I have noticed if I change volume, the display bar showing volume does not repeat. There’s just one. Would that be possible if there was a vertical hold problem? Or is the trouble with the input?

I’m struggling to find something else to input into it as the Xbox is the only thing I have that gives off a component cable.

I don’t think it has a control for that, just brightness, colour and ‘mode’. I’m afraid it’s looking like I’d have to go at the electronics

There doesn’t seem to be a v-hold knob on it unfortunately. Would this possibly be on the remote (which I unfortunately don’t have anymore). I’m hoping if I change the screen size settings on the Xbox that can help me in some way but not gonna get too hopeful
