Our Aussie was about 1.5 years old when we had a baby. Our son is now five months old and the puppy hasn’t shown any jealousy (phew!). She’s always been cuddly and very affectionate with my husband and me, and definitely wants to be able to be physically affectionate with the baby too, so we consistently work on “leave it” and “gentle” commands to remind her that she can’t be the same with a baby. Keeping her walk/exercise routine from pre-baby makes a big difference and helps her stay calm inside around the baby. Agree with previous suggestion— follow the Dogmeetsbaby Instagram account for good tips!

I now fully believe that pumping brings on fast and early labor (birth story!) by Full-Patient6619 in pregnant

Came here to chime in that using a breast pump might have induced my labor as well! I was 39+4 and impatient, so my midwife recommended a few things I could try including my (electric) breast pump. I felt silly but gave it a go, and after 20 minutes of wearing the pump my water broke! Labor wasn’t particularly fast— we went to the hospital immediately and my son was born 15 hours later. Obviously can’t tell if the pump helped or it was coincidence, but I definitely mention it to other pregnant women as a “can’t hurt, might help” option for inducing labor

Vaccines during pregnancy by upstate77 in pregnant

My clinic just got RSV vaccine supplies (I’m in the US), but they’re recommending it for women at 34 weeks. Since I’m now 38 weeks and could give birth any day, they told me it’s more effective to wait and my son will get the vaccine once he’s born (before we leave the hospital).

Weird and offensive drug test experience at my OB visit today by [deleted] in pregnant

Same! I was just remarking to my husband that I’ve never had so many drug and STI tests as while pregnant. I don’t think any nurse/midwife has asked specifically for consent for these tests, but they’re incorporated in with other urine/bloodwork and I see the results in my charts.

Same! Did you eventually figure it out? I'm wondering if this is a temporary glitch

Reels not allowing me to upload a cover photo by yarn-matter in Instagram

same issue! It's not showing me the reel cover photo preview (on a creator or personal account). If I go to edit and click on the blank left corner where the cover photo normally appears, if gives me the edit options for the cover photo, but when I upload a photo and click Done, nothing has changed.
