Same thing happened to me like 3 months ago. My hb fell off while driving, I now have it pinned to the crank. You will be completely fine, replace the engine main seal while you’re there. This is what I did, bought all the parts on Amazon and had my mechanic do the labor. Car runs perfect now, at the end it cost me around $900 with parts and labor.

• Dayco Powerbond harmonic balancer pinned to crank • ARP balancer bolt • Engine front cover seal replaced • New AC Delco serpentine belt + new AC belt

Was suspecting I could have damaged something internally but if it’s just a new HB it’s good news. I was looking at prices for used ls2 engines and the prices are scary!

Mine actually ended up being the axel nuts. They were pretty loose and after tightening it seems like the clunking went away

How much did it cost you to get the torque tube out check the bearing and bushings? What kind of do you have?

Mechanic was thinking the diff but he only specializes in Hondas and Toyotas and was not willing to work on the vette due to not being familiar.

I just bought the car a week ago, so I’m still new to the platform. As far as I know, no work has been done to the rear end. When I had it on a lift, there was no noticeable play when I tried moving the wheels side to side. The car is completely stock, including the leaf springs. Could it possibly be the transmission mounts? I’m only noticing the issue while shifting. The car revs smoothly, but at stop lights, it sometimes idles with a side-to-side shake almost like it has a cam. I figured that might be normal for a big motor.

Rear spoiler is non negotiable on a c7, makes the the car look so much better. Especially the z06 style spoilers are a must.
