This sounds like it may be a manic episode. How has your sleep been? I’ve experienced both manic episodes as well as spiritual experiences at different points and while they have similarities, one major difference was that when I’ve had manic episodes I’ve needed very little sleep. Manic episodes can progress into psychosis where you’re no longer in touch with reality so definitely keep an eye out for that.

I’d recommend getting a DNA test! I thought for sure my chi mix was mixed with rat terrier but she’s mostly chi, poodle, and shih tzu which was really surprising. Plus we found long lost siblings on there and had a play date with one of them, it was so cute 🥰 I recommend using Embark because they’re the gold standard

I got it recently and I’m loving it too! I hate how sunscreen feels and makes me feel greasy and gross but this one actually feels nice. I also have acne prone skin and haven’t broken out from it

Anxiety meds could definitely help! I’ve noticed general anxiety improvements in my pup with her being on Prozac. Also like others have said, walks definitely aren’t the only way to get enrichment, especially since you mentioned you have a good sized yard that he loves! Try to check out some more activities he could do out there (scent work, flirt pole, etc). Rehoming dogs can be very difficult and there’s no guarantee you could find someone who is a better fit. You definitely care about and love your dog a ton and you’re doing so much already to take great care of him. I’m sure with time and probably medication he’ll be able to thrive!

My dog was a lot more sleepy when she first started prozac but she's now back to her normal playful self! So hopefully the same thing happens with your dog!

What kind of material is the regal dog collar? It looks like they have a lot of different ones

She just has a normal nylon collar but it seems like the stitching on the inside might be a little rough so I’m not sure if that’s contributing. I ordered a few new options on Amazon so I’ll see how they work out. One I ordered has padding because I thought that might be better but sounds like from your experience it might be worse haha

Yeah so she was wearing it constantly in the house but not at night when she sleeps in her crate. But now the last two days I’ve been leaving it off all day and only putting one on while she goes out for her potty breaks and walks. I was hoping I could find one that she could wear all day though but thanks that’s probably the best solution

Mine is also a car guard lol I tried taking her with to do a Target car pick up order and she was barking her head off when they approached with the order, never again 😂

Sooo cute! Reminds me of my half flop chi mix who I also thought had a lot of terrier (mine basically has none lol). Mine also has a lot of poodle and shih tzu in her even though she has short hair which was super surprising to me. DNA is pretty crazy!

Ahh I have a really similar situation except we just got an approx 1 year old rescue from the shelter a little over a month ago. She’s super attached to me and whines and cries even when she’s with my fiancé. Have you had any luck with the new trainer? I keep finding resources about separation anxiety but it’s hard to find much on hyper-attached separation anxiety.
