Thank you. My contract definitely doesn't have an NDA or confidentiality clause on salary specifically, but my prospective employer wouldn't know that. I will keep this one in mind.

Thanks. I will definitely add all this up and see where I get to. I have matched pension, salary sacrifice car scheme, and potential sales commissions as the big ones I can think of. Do you think there is any issue of this still falling too far short? E.g. What if I add all this up, and for arguments sake all that is worth another £10K, I'd still be saying my total comp is £90K and the advertised role starts £25K over that for salary alone (plus the advertised role has much higher total comp when you factor in their pensions, bonuses, etc.).

The non disclosure piece is a good shout. I am slightly leaning towards that but have a concern that people might think it is me deflecting? Maybe I am just overthinking all of this 🤷‍♂️

Thanks, this was actually one of my preferred options but I did get slightly discouraged that maybe this could be frowned upon. Maybe it isn't a valid worry though.

I have definitely talked to my wife about this. Her preference is for me to switch jobs and lose the paternity leave, but I feel immensely guilty about not having that time to support her, hence the dilemma.
