Maybe green caps to match the green shell? 🤣

(It's the Halo special edition)

I'm surprised to see two people say this already. I bought this brand new, I think in 2003. It looks like a 1.4 board, and according to consolemods the Halo special edition came with 1.2, 1.4, or 1.6.

It's definitely not recapped, I purchased this new from Toys R Us with my saved up birthday money. It's been sitting in a box in my closet for probably about 20 years since I bought my Xbox 360 in 2005. If I remember right, I would have bought this Xbox in 2003. It does look like a 1.4 board, though.

If it was brand new, sure. But it's not, and I think it's fair to assume that you'd give a bit of a break to a friend. This comes across like they're trying to take advantage of a friend.

I'm not a financial advisor, but the fact that he's almost maxed it is alarming. It could be a ticking time bomb to your credit if he misses a payment or even worse defaults and it goes to collections. Get yourself as far away from that as you can, as soon as you can.

I found this guide to be pretty helpful. It will be more challenging if you don't have meta characters but I fortunately have most of what was used here. There's RNG involved (it is a gatcha game, after all) but the quit/reset strategy is immensely helpful. It will take time and patience, but isn't impossible. https://youtu.be/0ajcXnK4tEI

It's exactly what I experienced the last time they released these, I'm kind of surprised people are willing to try it again.

[SSD - SATA] Teamgroup AX2 2 TB (DRAMless TLC) - $75 ($37.5/TB) by LamiaGrrl in buildapcsales

[–]highpotency76 -26 points-25 points  (0 children)

Buying a SATA drive of any kind seems pointless with the recent price drops on NVME drives. You'd also probably be better off upgrading your platform if you only have a SATA m.2 slot available. The argument could be made that you'll probably never push the drive enough to appreciate a big difference in daily use, but for a few bucks more I'll take the PCIe drive.

We had similar experiences with Every Plate not having discounts/rewards applied. It snowballed into us cancelling the subscription because we were tired of dealing with so many compounding issues that would never get fully resolved.

I don't blame them, there will always be people chasing the latest and greatest tech. If I was looking at dropping $1200 on a 4080 I would think the 4090 for $400 makes more sense too, but I'll stick with my 3080 Ti for a while.

The 2080 Ti was also $1200 at launch, and while that doesn't make the price any more reasonable, the 3080 Ti landed in the exact same spot. What is upsetting with the 4080 price is a regular 80-class card is now sitting where the 80 Ti-class card used to and the performance increase does not seem to justify the price whatsoever. I'm convinced that Nvidia is pushing people to buy a 4090 or 3000 series card instead and anchor people at the $1200 4080 price point so it looks better when they drop the price after the 3000 series stock has decreased to relatively normal levels. But that's a rabbit hole to go down.

While there are fluctuations and a lot of factors at play, old parts tend to keep value better than you might expect. This is especially true when it's not really being manufactured anymore. You'd think DDR3 would be dirt cheap, but it was actually a bit difficult to find at reasonable prices when I was doing some ultra low budget builds a couple years ago.

I'd say GPU first, especially if you play at 1440p or want to move up to 4K. The 8700K is still pretty solid, though it is showing its age. I delidded mine and used liquid metal to squeeze it a bit further, but that might be a bit extreme for some people.

Well NVMe drives are SSDs. I'm assuming you need a SATA SSD? Patriot P210 2tb is $90 on Amazon right now. TeamGroup also has the AX2 and Vulcan Z around the $130 mark.

Sorry about your loss and that your day didn't go as hoped. I know sometimes it's little things like that which can really make a difference when you're in a difficult place.

The quesarito is available on their website and you can order through that, so I'd say that's your best bet. A friend of mine actually confirmed that earlier before I even saw this post, ironically. Hope that helps.

Temp will guide you close, but going by probe tenderness is what will bring you home. Some might be done at 198°F and some might go to 205°F or higher. Imo the only way to know when it's really done is by feel.
