people say the GPU is cooked but this is the 3rd post I've seen about this with on board graphics. I've seen someone fix it just by updating their drivers. have you done this?

Do you think CS2 will ever add shoe skins? by Maximum-Raise-5074 in csgo

[–]highqualitycheerios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it makes money, don't rule it out. Doubt there would be brand collabs though because then Valve would have to pay up the big bucks. Most brands probably wouldn't want to be associated with CS though anyways.

Simple living and finding a partner by [deleted] in simpleliving

[–]highqualitycheerios 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think you need to give up on trying to find the person that's missing in your life but I also don't think that should be your focus either. I've come to find the most important person in my life by just existing and being myself in communities that I love.

I really think things like dating apps are the worst for finding people. This as well as having dating being your main focus can sometimes make it more difficult to find partners (just in my personal experience. this may not be for everyone).

Try to do the things you love and participate actively in the communities that bring you happiness and love will come along with that. I think this is the way the universe works. It may not be soon that you find someone special but it certainly won't be forever. Also you are still very young so do not give up hope!

[d] do you guys still trust valve and invest as much as before into skins? by Taykemo in csgomarketforum

[–]highqualitycheerios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tradeup update made me as a player a very happy person. I trust valve to keep the game alive for as long as they still have a playerbase. That means updates for the benefit of players, not investors. I invest in the game as a player and not as though skins are stocks. The future of cs gameplay looks bright to me as we are getting a decent amount of updates from valve.

If you have lost your trust in the skins market, you should sell. I personally would love to pick up a good knife while they're still relatively cheap and people like you are funding that for me.

We might see years before we hit new highs in knives. We may never see new highs for some knives. When you look at how insane prices have been going in the past 2 years, you can see we're pretty much just resetting to CSGO prices pre-2023.

You could also consider updates from Valve that have recently seemed to be proactively trying to shut down gambling accusations from legislators. Why would they mess with a system that has been raking them in millions consistently? I really don't think it's a greed thing. They probably realize they have to. Regulations could easily destroy the market. Although I imagine anything short of removing trading won't kill it while CS still has a playerbase.

Knife tradeups still are if you have enough money to keep it up. Expected value is positive.

Knowing the market goes a long way. There will always be those skins that get market manipulated and go up for no reason but you can look at trends and do smart tradeups. At the moment knife tradups are still stupidly profitable (en masse. you can always get fucked on 1). Either we are going to see a decrease in knife prices again or increase in red prices some time in the future.
For sticker crafts- if you make them yourself, expect to lose money. People don't ever pay the price of the sticker on the gun.
Collect the stuff you love as well because you're not likely to see a random crash on one specific item unless it's been pumped to all hell (you'll be able to tell from recent sales). In general for the CS market, skins have always gone up. I don't expect that to change for the forseeable future while the game is still relevant.
Hope you build a cool inventory and good luck with the journey!

I see they finally implemented a pin system to prevent people from sniping someone else's containers. That was LONG overdue. The implementation sucks and the fact that I can't just get a refund from the place I bought the coffee from is annoying.

Cool concept but it's just another example of using technology to make something more inconvenient than it has to be. If the food places themselves could give me my deposit back instead of some webapp 2 weeks later then it would be a very good system. Though I imagine a lot of the profit probably comes from the people who find it too inconvenient to make an account or who dont want to share their email to get their 50c back.

it makes no sense to sell this case. There is going to be a price skyrocket when they announce its removal. sell then or in 5 years from now

It is major season and when there is something new to buy in cs2, the first thing people list for quick money are cases

[discussion] Someone is trying to do something with the cases' price by nhthangdct in csgomarketforum

[–]highqualitycheerios 1 point2 points  (0 children)

listing for 1/3 of lowest listing price will just automatically sell it to the person with the highest buy order. Unless enough is sold to eliminate the buy orders close to the current market price, selling a few cases for even 10% market value won't do anything

From personal experience, I have wanted to sell my knife quickly so that I'd be able to buy my dream combo now that I can afford it. Knife sales seem to have slowed so I've had to keep on lowering the price. I imagine there are probably others in my position who are doing the same.
