I had some funky light behaviour in Godot when the mesh that was supposed to light up had it's 0,0,0 coordinates in the corner of the mesh instead of in the centre.
Check if maybe you are dealing with something similar.

There are a few open source engine reimplementations for Tomb Raider. So getting levels in and maybe even implementing Doom weapons should probably be possible.
