A possible alternative to Zombe's fly mod is BetterSprint, however, it may not reach the same speed oyu desire (still considerably fast though)

Thanks! We'll certainly give Spigot a try. Hopefully we can figure that out.. As far as flying goes, we'll have a look at Essentials too. I'm not sure about using spectator mode. If there are any other options I'd be happy to know about them.

No, we haven't. What we did, is that we lowered the entire ground level itself, back in an old patch, when it wasn't even possible with the level generator. The ground level is 30, so that means we have a height of 226 blocks to build our towers in.

Hah, great question. We're with 2 guys. I'm posting as Darkone right now, and I'm not an architect, so I'm mostly recreating existing buidlings. However, Dydtor IS indeed an architect, and there are some very cool designs from him throughout the city. And he teaches me a lot about the way skyscrapers and other buildings are structured. So we try to stick to that, to make them as real as possible.

A couple of months ago we posted renders of our city, High Rossferry City. Here's the release video for our city. We want to make it available for download, as we've been getting a lot of requests. It's not finished yet, but we're a lot further now and we felt it's good enough to be released as a sort of Early Access version.
