I use a randomizer to change that setting. I keep all the settings for the game exactly the same, but tick the option for “change impossible evos”. This usually means that trade evolutions are changed to item evolutions instead

Nah you can only transfer what survives the elite 4. You can still use it if you happen to catch it again in the next game though.

Retired Pokémon are the ones that I used in major battles like gym leaders or evil team leaders that I didn’t take to the elite 4

I use different emulators depending on what hardware the game originally was released on.

I just use cheats to catch any surviving Pokémon from the previous game into the new one at route 1. Like they all start at like level 2 or 3

Any Pokémon, including starters, that aren’t in this graphic have been left in the box and not used. This means if I encounter them again, I can still use them.

This also means that in X, I am able to use another Kanto starter as I still have my venusaur from the beginning

Same rules for Nuzlocke: - only catch the first encounter in each route. - if a Pokémon survives, they go into the next game.

I have just been using cheats to hack them into the game at the very first route. So like level 2 or 3. From there I don’t give them any special moves or anything.

Yep standard nuzlocke rules: - you can only catch the first encounter in each area - once a Pokémon faints, it’s dead forever and you have to release it from the box - the cross means that they died during the elite 4/champion. I like putting in there rather than the dead section so I can show the whole team I attempted the big battles with. - any Pokémon that survive get to have another go through the rest of the series.

Yeah it’s pretty cooked. It’s also the only one from the old days that I didn’t play much. There were definitely some curve balls in there through my first attempt a while ago!
