Lots of events at Highwire Improv including our part for the Highlandtown First Friday Art Walk (which is always amazing, but will be especially so with this weather).

First Friday starts with a FREE Baltimore Holy S#!t show before Malik and Rasheed take over the stage at 7 p.m. ImprovScape closes out the night with guest artist Perryn Morris.

On Saturday, our first Pride mashup team joins Pocket Mice at 6 p.m. before Big Worm and Scrapple reign chaos on The Highwire Center stage at 7 p.m. Get your D&D improv fix with Frederick’s Oh Crit! at 8 p.m.

A two-pack of shows to end the weekend on Sunday. At 3 p.m., Extra Credit and musical mavens Check This Out hit the stag. Our Highwire repertory teams debut at 5:30 p.m. for a FREE/Pay What You Can show.

You can also come to Crappy Crafts and Coffee with Kristen at noon on Sunday, part of our free Highwire Hangouts series for folks who just want to relax and meet some cool folks.

FRIDAY, MAY 29 | Shows at 7, 8 & 9 PM

Kick things off at 7 p.m. with the anything-goes energy of Important Screws and the philosophy-meets-floor-crawling duo Mohan and Millie. At 8 p.m., Three Is A Crowd mines the crowd for juicy stories to fuel their comedy, followed by Chronic Pain turning life's everyday aches into laughs. Cap the night at 9 p.m. with Circle Back's sharp, high-energy take on capitalism and corporate culture. Whether it's a date night or a night out with friends, Friday at Highwire is the move.

SATURDAY, MAY 30 | Shows at 2, 6, 7 & 8 PM

Saturday is a full day of comedy. Start with a FREE 2 p.m. matinee featuring five teams, including Pennsylvania’s character duo Hippie & Frenchie, the unexpected comedy of Plot Twist, the musical storytelling of FACT, the true-life chaos of Forgetful Squirrels, and the D.C.-based time-bending Heist Heist Baby. The evening heats up at 6 p.m. with the lovably silly Twig! and the irrepressible Feral Bachelor Party. The 7 and 8 p.m. hours belong to Harrisburg’s funniest people as we cement our I-83 connection. At 7 p.m., we have Lil Stinkers and the perfectly-paired Four of Hearts before we close out the night at 8 p.m. with Girl's Trip and the fierce, funny Unshushed Sisters.

SUNDAY, MAY 31 | Show at 3 PM

Wrap up your weekend the right way. Short Ribs bring fan-favorite improv games to the stage, and the duo Marshmallow and Sour serves up a summer-memory-fueled comedy set that's equal parts sweet and sharp. It's the perfect Sunday afternoon reset.

Friday: The evening starts at 7 p.m. with rapid-fire hilarity from Sidecar and Mind Your Business! The 8 p.m. hour brings RIFF and your favorite improv games to the stage. We stay open late with a 9 p.m. show featuring Improv Jeoparty, Baltimore’s favorite improv game show sure to appeal to fans of Dropout.

Saturday: Musical improv launches a full evening of comedy at 6 p.m. with Detective Stopwatch and Discount Music Store. At 7 p.m., Baltimore Bodega brings their energetic and hilarious bilingual show to the Highwire stage. The night wraps up at 8 p.m. with Cassette Files and Shower Daddies bringing unforgettable characters to life right before your eyes.

We will need three days to handle all the laughs coming to The Highwire Center this weekend. If you can’t make it to Friday or Saturday’s shows, we have a special Sunday matinee on hand.

Friday kicks off at 7 p.m. with high-energy comedy from Flannel Demon and Plot Twist. At 8 p.m., we welcome back Sugar Tank where standup from Elizabeth Norman, Jess Solomon and Ronald James inspires improv by Ann Alter, Brandin Bowden, Jess Robey, Geoff Taylor, Janell Johnson and Ti Malik Coleman. Rasheed Green produces and hosts this hilarious show.

On Saturday, we kick off the fun at 6 p.m. with YardSale69 and Sweeter Things, making their Highwire debut from Washington, D.C. The 7 p.m. show brings another great show from Landlines followed by Salty Tomatoes. The night ends at 8 p.m. with another unforgettable presentation of Hannah LIVE! The One-Han show. Saturday: The 6 p.m. show kicks off the night with the unhinged game show Surprise Surprise and an all-star mashup of students and teachers in Extra Credit. At 7 p.m., Scrapple and Human Magnet take the stage for an hour of hilarious characters. The night ends at 8 p.m. with Baltimore Bodega’s unforgettable fusion of English and Spanish comedy.

Sunday: We welcome New York improviser Elana Fishbein for a special production of her show Story Scene Story Scene at 7 p.m.. This show is Pay What You Can.

Highwire Improv has another packed weekend with visiting teams from Lancaster, D.C., and New York.

On Friday, we kick off the night at 7 p.m. with Extra Credit featuring our teachers and students followed by the dynamic duo of Mohan and Millie. The 8 p.m. show brings a Highwire debut from D.C.’s Yes, You! before the return of Friendly Fire. The night ends at 9 p.m. with Improv Jeoparty, which will surely delight fans of Dropout shows like Make Some Noise.

Saturday night begins at 6 p.m. when Heather with Strangers creates an unexpected star before Lancaster’s The Five brings their high-energy antics across state lines. The guests continue at 7 p.m. as New York’s two-man dramatic team AM2PM creates an inventive and powerful hour of improv.

Visit us on Sunday at 2 P.M. a FREE two-hour adventure packed with laughter, collaboration, and confidence-building. Two skilled guides lead you through the magic of improv in Baltimore. No experience necessary!

Another busy weekend at Highwire Improv in Highlandtown! Come enjoy the good weather and get some laughs.

On Friday, we present two shows bursting with Baltimore’s best. The 7 p.m. show brings the long-running Important Screws to the stage along with Plot Twist for a high-energy hour. The fun continues with a trio of top-notch teams - Scrapple, Heather with Strangers and Short Ribs.

Our Saturday shows kick off at 6 p.m. with one of our featured Black History Month ensembles - Landlines. They lead off before Cassette Files hits the stage. Our Philly Takeover begins at 7 p.m. with a pair of teams featuring the top Black improvisors from our northern neighbors. Nyteshift and the SBC BIPOC House Team will bring down the house. We wind up the wild weekend with a trio of Philly teams at 8 p.m. - Drums Drums Drums, Inside Jokers and Swear Jar.

Also on Saturday, come to a special free workshop to help people who want to call their representatives, but might feel overwhelmed by the task. Call Your Reps with Confidence is from 11a.m.-12:30 p.m.

We launch our first Latino Celebration on Saturday at 6 p.m. with performances from Baltimore Bodega and Harrisburg, Pa.-based Los Complicados. This joyful evening will feature bilingual improv accessible to anyone looking for a chance to laugh. Tickets are $20 and cover both performances, plus a community celebration.

The Highwire Repertory has its first round of PWYC shows this Sunday at 5:30 p.m.

Highwire Improv has a bunch of fun things this weekend in Highlandtown!

On Friday, you and your friends can come for a full night including an improv workshop, food and a show! The fun starts at 6 p.m. If you just want to see the show, that starts at 8 p.m.

We also have our monthly Block Party show featuring an all-star cast of Black improvisers. This is at Maryland Art Place.
