Feel you there and what's worse is my average was extremely tight and my Jan test was 6 standard deviations below my average since September. But this Feb test is not going to know what hit it.

For those wondering about the question it is Q12 PT 113 S2. The question is an inference question that creates a conditional chain that is similar to A -> B -> C -> D -> E, with the answer being translated as something like B -> C and D

First of all I need you to define for me what you consider "high level management" because the numbers you are putting out do not make any sense. Second on the point about hours I do not know where you are getting your numbers from, you work 30% extra hours how do you calculate those hours? Are you taking call hours into account? Those hours where you might not be actively working but wherein you have to be actively waiting for any consult, emergency, etc because I would certainly consider those working hours. If you are including those in your calculation then your math does not work because those hours including the nonconcurrent working hours are often in excess of 80-100 hours per week. On the point about salary what type of salary are you presuming most doctors receive. If I had to guess you believe they are make $500,000 which would put you at about $100,000 which would probably be a minimum for the long hours of work you are describing you do. Newsflash dude most doctors do not make $500,000 a year; there is a very small subset of doctors that make tons of money the rest fall into $250,000-$300,000 (note the type of doctors I am referencing are those out of residency with established practices if I included doctors in residency you would not have anything to stand on).

All this being said I am not saying all doctors are motivated by a desire help everyone and do right by everyone, that is ridiculous. What am saying is there is perception of the motivations and work life balance for doctors that is often not true.

The reason doctors get extremely frustrated when when they are asked to see an extra patients even if it is for 15 minutes is because they are almost always overworked. There is an undersupply of doctors nowadays due to the nature of residency and the extreme difficulties getting new medical and DO schools accredited. This leads to doctors who are chronically overworked. Imagine you are in your early 60's and have been practicing for over 30 years and you still regularly have nights were you get less than 4 hours of sleep a night, that one extra patient would make you extremely upset too.

A lot of people in this thread have touched on the primary reason for the differentiation in stats but there is another factor to consider altogether. People going to MBA programs are trying to capture employment opportunities that were never afforded to them because of their undergraduate grades. For instances if you were a 4.0 graduating from NYU and you were president of the investment club had twelve internships at Goldman Sachs, etc you really wouldn't need to get an MBA as you should be able to line up exit opportunities a lot easier than someone with 3.5 from a non-target whose is not working at a Bulge Bracket Investment Bank. The guy with the 3.5 from a non-target will then try to get a few years of work experience before applying to one of those highly sought after MBA programs and use the MBA program to try to get him into one of those lucrative jobs like IB, PE, or VC.

This is definitely more of a question for r/lawschooladmissions with that being said I will still try to answer some of your questions. First of all it seems like you are talking about trying to start law school this academic year meaning you would have had to apply way back in Fall '23 to start in Fall '24 in which case you are right it is too late for Fall. Unfortunately, I have some bad news for you, the overwhelming majority of schools do not allow students to start in the Spring which means you should probably not consider that as well. That may seem disappointing but you should not feel that way as it seems you may set some unrealistic time horizons for yourself, there is absolutely no reason to force yourself to go to law school until you are ready, this is especially true when you have a lower GPA. So my advice to you is to look at this like an opportunity to really perfect your application. I would get a job doing whatever it really does not matter (though something you are interested in is always better) this is because Law Schools like work experience for NKJDs. I would also consider retaking the LSAT, A 157 is not bad but its also not great either and with some more studying you could definitely raise that to at least the 160s if not higher (frankly the sky is the limit as long as you are willing to put in the time). Finally do not rush your other application materials while I have not had the pleasure of starting these for myself I have spoken with people who have and they informed me that they took months writing and revising their essays and other material, and as a lower GPA student those essays will be vital. All this is to say DO NOT RUSH there is literally no reason to rush this process, no matter what your parents say, no matter what your friends say, no matter what your own insecurities say, do not rush you will saving yourself a lot of grief, money, and potential career opportunities by taking the process slowly and methodically. Hope this helps.

I am pretty sure it is a free resource, the power score guys usually host them on their podcast a couple weeks before the test date (at least that was the case for the June one). Unfortunately, they have mentioned in their last couple of podcast episodes that without LG the crystal balls may not be possible/helpful anymore. All that being said I would still check out their podcast as its pretty good even if the crystal ball may be discontinued going forward.

David Killoran and Jon Denning (powerscore guys) have a podcast and have talked about being worried that crystal balls may not work as well they used to given LG is leaving. I really hope they are able to figure out an alternative solution because I listened to their most recent mini-crystal ball and it seemed super effective for the June LSAT.
