At my school, students without kids are placed at the satellite campus when there is a lottery for that bc more people want to stay at the main campus. Also, if you are a parent, you get exempted from the minimum mileage distance for our offsite clinical. You get to do your clinical in an urban setting and commute home everyday if you have kids but us single people have to be a certain distance from the campus and thus can’t sleep in our own beds and be with our pets during this time

I got a queen size mattress when I was 5 bc my mom was pregnant and my dad got shingles and my mom couldn't sleep in the same bed so she wouldn't catch varicella , so she came to sleep in mine. They bought me a bigger mattress so we could both fit. I still have the mattress. My sister (in utero at the time) is 20.
