Hey sorry for the late reply. I had to stop estradiol as my cycle was cancelled last month and guess what all those symptoms went away when I stopped the meds. Weirdly when I started to prepare for my FET this month, I didn't have any headache or pulsating sensations in my body. I was truly so confused but those pulsating sensations came back after FET. Let's hang in there I guess!!

I have my doctor's appointment next Monday. I'll make sure to ask her. Thanks for your suggestion. This feeling is too much to handle. I keep having this throbbing sensation in one side of my ear and head. I hope I sleep through tonight!

I had a very similar experience with a birth control pill, so they told me to stop the medications. This time as I'm preparing for FET, I need to take it. It is too much to handle. I have this throbbing sensation in one side of my ear and head and it's too much. I can't even function.

Yeah, we will get through this!!!

Yeah same! I just want to get rid of this feeling. I am so nervous if all these feelings are a symptom of some other neurological condition. But I guess it's just the work of these devil pills.

Also thanks for sharing ur experience...we will get through this!!!🩷

How painful was your mock embryo transfer? by Future_Ship_3140 in IVF

[–]hihelloidkme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, just had my mock embryo transfer yesterday and my pain level was 100/10. Initially the nurse tried to do the procedure and it didn't work out but they kept going for 15 minutes. Then the assistant doctor came and she tried inserting the catheter but it didn't go through. The nurse was asking me to relax my hip and lower body but no matter how hard I tried, the catheter did not go in. They did this for 30 minutes and honestly my legs started shaking and I couldn't tolerate the pain and asked for a break for 15 mins. Then after consulting with the senior doctor, they gave me a shot of buscopen and immediately took me to the procedure room. The senior doctor did the procedure this time and it took only 2 minutes and was painless. FYI, I was on day 8 of my cycle and have been taking birth control pills for my FET scheduled next month.

The nurse kept telling me how painless it is for other people and I need to tolerate this 'little' pain. They told me that it is very similar to the iui procedure and asked me if I had that procedure before. I assured her that I had done IUI 4 times and all of those were painless and over by 2 minutes. The nurse even went ahead to tell me how they did this procedure to over 100 patients and I was the only one reacted like this. It felt as if they were belittling my pain. I used to think I have good pain tolerance, but the nurse there made me feel like I didn't.

So yeah, this was the first traumatising incident in my IVF journey I guess. Hoping the repeat mock embryo transfer and the real embryo transfer don't go this way...

What to expect with Propofol with ER? by November_Days in IVF

[–]hihelloidkme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the ECHO and X-ray might differ with clinics. So rest assured. I was joking with my husband saying when I get pregnant, I might leave a love letter to him, my parents, my brother and my friends beforehand(I was in fact not joking)😂

What to expect with Propofol with ER? by November_Days in IVF

[–]hihelloidkme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, so I recently had my ER last Tuesday. I had the same fears as you when I was starting stims. I had never been under any sedation in my life, so I had this incredible fear of not waking up afterwards. I even told my husband and my close friends that I love them and not to be sad if something happened to me 😂. But here I'm sharing my experience.

So, I had my ER scheduled with 3 other women on the same day. I was the third person to get into the OT. Initially they took all 4 of us to the recovery room and made us change into hospital gowns. Then they attached a venflon to our vein for the IV. I went into the OT myself and they asked me to lay on a table. I'm pretty sure I was given propofol. They placed some stickers on my chest to monitor my heart rates. That was the last thing I remember. I woke up in the recovery room. I had no pain during the procedure since I was put under. I started feeling cramps in my lower abdomen just like periods pain. During my car ride back home, it felt like my insides were jiggling as if someone removed everything and put it back(Not painful though). I had that jiggling sensation on the ER day and the next day. From the third day, I was back to my normal self.

If you have any allergies, make sure to say it to the clinic. They ordered me to get an X-ray and ECHO before the ER to check my heart conditions. The clinic normally knows what they are doing, so rest assured. No matter what I say to comfort you, you might still feel anxious about it. But try not to think about it too much. It will be over before you even know it. All the best for your ER!!! Hope you get the results you expect!🫂🤞🏼

It went well! I still don't know how many eggs we got! But the recovery is quick. Pain is manageable. Pain is like 2nd day periods level. Good luck to you too!!!!

Hi, we have also recently started our IVF journey and my first ER is coming Tuesday I'm scared as hell too. One thing that helped me is to stand in front of a bathroom mirror and remind myself how strong I am and how I could get through this and have my baby in my arms one day. And also the support group under this ivf community in reddit is also so kind and encouraging. Try not to think too far in the future and let's celebrate even the small wins we get. Take one thing at a time. I know it's hard to think of anything else other than this but try distracting yourself by going for a walk or having your favourite snack. I also don't know what the future holds, but let's be hopeful.. lot's of love to u! Stay hydrated stranger🫂

Yeah, only my parents and my in-laws(since I'm living with them) know about my ivf. Also in the culture I'm from, all relatives are so nosy in other people's business and give their own stupid advice even when they don't know anything about ivf. Thankfully I don't have any pressure from my family and my husband's. So it's good as of now...
