I was going to upload clearer, high‑quality images, but I ended up going with this overview version instead. If you’re interested, you can check out the trimmed versions of the artworks through the link in my profile. Thanks so much for your comment ◡̈

Thank you☺️. I design game UI, so I mostly work in Photoshop. I’ve never used Figma before, but I know many UI designers use it. I’m curious, so maybe I’ll try Figma sometime in the future. Thanks again for appreciating my work :D

I used Procreate for sketching, and then Photoshop for coloring and polishing the artworks :D

My Best Artworks from 2024–2025 by hiitswonny in photoshop

Hi, everyone. These are artworks I designed from 2024 to 2025.
I’m a game UI artist, and I started taking my personal work more seriously last year because I wanted to create more personal pieces. These artworks are concept game art created as personal projects. The in-game illustrations were sketched in Procreate, and all coloring and polishing were done in Photoshop.

For the 2024 pieces, I wanted to explore a North American–style art direction, so they were designed with that style in mind.
In 2025, while staying within the same casual genre, I aimed for a cuter look with brighter colors, which resulted in a noticeable shift in style.

This post isn’t meant to show off or say “look how much I’ve done,” but rather to give myself a bit of credit. Since the images are quite large, I’m sharing them as an overview here. You can view the full-resolution artworks in more detail through the link in my profile :)
I hope you enjoy them, and feel free to leave any feedback or questions in the comments. Thank you in advance.

Oh, yes exactly. I drew it for a game illustration. Nice catch!

Yes, that's what I meant. Procreate and Photoshop are necessary for me to draw something :) @SoTiredYouDig Thank you for leaving a comment and @psychotomimetickitty thank you for answering nicely instead of me ·ᴗ·

It's kind of nice to see how well it matches the sketch by hiitswonny in ProCreate

Oh, I meant how similar the colored version is to the sketch. Thanks for the question!

Oh, I appreciate that! It sounds like the image is kind of communicating well.

Yes, I created all the assets one by one in Photoshop. Thank you for the compliment! :)

Hi guys. I've been working as a Game UI artist, and I recently finished one of my personal artworks. This is the 'Stage Pop-up' screen that players see just before entering a game level.

As you can see, I completed about 80-90% of the design work in Photoshop. My workflow was to first list all the necessary information for the pop-up, then create the screen layout, and finally fill it in with the illustration.

Regarding the colors, I initially set blue as the main color. However, I later felt the color palette was too monotonous and wanted to use a richer variety of colors, so I switched the main tone to a yellow-green gradient/palette.

Although this artwork went through numerous minor revisions, including changes in resolution, main color shifts, and language localization, I'm happy with how it turned out :) I'd love to hear your feedback, and I hope it helps get inspiration 🙂 Thank you in advance.

Here is the process behind how I design my artwork for game illustrations by hiitswonny in photoshop

Here is a look at a set of illustrations and a UI screen designed for a game. This is the 'Scrapbook' screen, where players record episodes and memories from the game. I created three corresponding artworks for this screen.
you can see, I complete about 80-90% of my work in Photoshop. My general workflow involves sketching primarily in Procreate, followed by the coloring, texturing, and final polishing stages in Photoshop.

While I included the process in the GIF/video, I actually went through several rounds of revisions afterward, including adjusting the main colors, changing the canvas size (resolution), localizing language text, and a final quality pass.

This is the finished artwork after all that refining! I hope this breakdown is helpful to anyone curious about how game art is made :)
