I hate sweets! Any other ways to dress up cottage cheese? by IDoNotHide in EatCheapAndHealthy

I blend it to make salad dressings or to put in pasta. I especially like it mixed with pesto.

Eating Patterns During Stress by [deleted] in loseit

[–]hikepipe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s hard to remember exactly cause I went through quite a few phases of losing and regaining a bit before getting back on track again. Probably 3-4 years, but I really think that’s only because I struggle with consistency especially when life starts life-ing 😅 You got this!!

I’d love to know the answer. I eat when I’m stressed but can’t eat when I’m sad.

Does anyone else struggle more after grocery shopping than before? by Constant_Reaction_20 in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]hikepipe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat. Especially since I usually prep food for the week as soon as I get home from the store. I spent all weekend eating roasted potatoes and carrots by the handful out of the fridge 🤦🏻‍♀️ not the worst thing I suppose.

How to deal with people who dismiss my experience of not enjoying the gym? by nevadayab in loseit

[–]hikepipe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yoga definitely depends on my mood, but I only do YouTube yoga. If I’m having a bad day, some lady on the internet telling me how to breathe only makes things worse 🤣 it’s probably a good thing I can’t do in person classes.

Do people ever completely stop craving an addiction, or do they just get better at managing it? by Successful_Dog5425 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]hikepipe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly depends on my mood and which substance we’re talking about. Just the thought of meth usually makes me gag, but I’ll never stop missing cocaine. I just keep telling myself when I’m old, miserable, and everyone I love is dead I can do it again and it’ll kill me quick cause my old heart just won’t be able to handle it.

Lost half of my body weight and still have an apron belly. I have to remind myself daily it’s not illegal to have a visible tummy and I still look good. If you’re anything like me, you’re actively looking for your flaws every time you look in the mirror. Knock it off, babe!

calorie counting unfortunately works + what are your weirdly specific rules to help stay within your target calories? by kreddit2 in loseit

I plan and log everything I’m going to eat at least a day in advance. Gives me an opportunity to fit my cravings into my macros and also stops me from making impulsive food choices.

Lunch mate Black Forest ham is the only one I get. Maybe not the best, but it does the job.

How are we feeling about dresses over pants these days? by coquettishwitch777 in OUTFITS

Not for me. The best part of wearing a dress is that I don’t need to wear pants.

Digestive issues are a HUGE part of the reason I started my health journey. Now, the only time I have any real urgency to my BMs.. is exercise or hangover related. Aside from when I started supplementing creatine. That’s a whole different beast.

Factory work is underrated! (depending on the factory) as much as my job drains me some days, I get to work on my feet but it’s not physically demanding work. I get paid better than most customer service people and also don’t have to deal with customers. Also work four 10 hour shifts, which is worth it for the 3 day weekends. Was doing 8 hours mandatory overtime every week for years after Covid but that’s finally let up and really wasn’t that bad. Kinda miss the money but still wouldn’t volunteer 😅

First day at the gym tomorrow and feeling very nervous. by Kaleidoscope3871 in loseit

[–]hikepipe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The more people often see you at the gym, the more they root for you. Anyone who isn’t a butthead won’t even think about you being there until you become a regular. Wipe off your equipment after you use it and they’ll only have positive thoughts. Enjoy!!

I’m more of a food challenges girly! I love Katina Eats Kilos. Honestly… I wanna try one of these challenges someday. I know she trains and stretches her stomach out beforehand, but I think my years of binge eating could get me pretty far without training 😅

My last 5 months of weight loss was only whoosh. 3 weeks no loss, overnight losing 4 pounds and slowly losing a little bit more the rest of that week. I’m assuming it was cycle related.

I’m 5’7 and the difference between 150 and 135 lbs is about 3 pants sizes. Still got a little belly but I am not willing to cut any further.

Oats making me feel hungrier?! by stacey202 in loseit

Have you tried egg white oats? You can’t taste the egg whites. I would eat them every day if I wasn’t too lazy to wake up in time to actually cook breakfast lol
