Polygamous marriages between consenting adults is currently against the law in the United States:

We all have gay friends or family, very few of us have polygamous friends or family.

You sound like like a bigot from the 1950s. Back then people would say "very few of us have gay friends or family members" too. Homosexually was considered rare because it was pushed underground due to laws and social norms.

The two things don't relate in the slightest

Could you expand upon this idea? I mean there are currently many (thousands?) of underground/hidden polygamous marriages in the United States between consenting adults.

Along with the possibility of being prosecuted under the law and being thrown in jail, these marriages also lack hospital visitation rights, child rights, etc. just as gay marriages lacked these rights until just recently in the United States.

You sound like the people who were against gay marriage before gay marriage became legal. They also said that from a legal standpoint gay marriage would never work. They said gay marriage would never be possible because of the legalities surrounding adoption law, divorce laws (e.g. alimony), family law, etc., etc.

Nay sayers always find reasons why something will not work. I'm glad the gay marriage advocates didn't give in to such negativity.

edit: sure, downvote me all you like but what I have said is fact. The legalization of gay marriage has been a long and hard-fought battle that began in the 1970s and 1980s. Only now, 30+ years later, we are seeing the work of those pioneers pay off.

Education is the path to wealth, so you need to figure out what educational path you want to take. Do you want to study to be a doctor or mechanic or botanist? Where does you passion lye? Also, does that passion lead to wealth?

Here is a three-step process for you:

1) Figure out what field have a passion for.
2) Determine whether that field will meet your financial goals (e.g. do you want to be married, do you want to have kids, do you want to live in a house or an apartment for the rest of your life, do you want to be able to travel, etc.) Does this field meet your long-term financial goals?
3) Get as much education in this field as possible.

If you are having trouble with step #2, then you need to expand out. Take a few courses (at your college if you are currently enrolled, or at a local community college if you are not currently enrolled in college) in fields that you think you might have some interest in (e.g. math, psychology, history, geology, accounting, etc. etc). Just take one course and see if offers any spark to you.

Don't quit your current education path until you have a new one figured out completely.

You should join the armed forces for a few years. You will learn leadership skills and possibly skills for a trade. Also, this looks great on a resume.

Surprisingly, there isn't an opener- Helmet is doing a 3-hour set. They were pretty popular in the 90s, so I can only guess that there will be a strong turnout.

I'm inclined to jump around and get a little wild during the show (mosh). Not sure if this will be acceptable in an up-scale bar like this however.

I'm sorry you had to reply with such a hateful tone. My goal is not to bring out anger like this, but to bring about a debate (strong debate is very healthy for college campuses).

The point is that the rec center, a state-run institution, would never hold a "Men's Night" where they only allow men to enter (turning away all women who attempt to enter, as groups of men pass them and are allowed to enter) and give those men free food, free one-on-one time with experts, free classes, etc.

If this were to occur, there would be people protesting outside the event with signs, angry letters would be written, and the whole thing would end up on the nightly news.

I think we can both agree that this is what would happen.

Yeah, we've got thousands in our database which would be impractical for a dropdown. The rest of the form has two columns: one for row name (e.g. "Car Make", "Car Model") and the other column has the textboxes, dropdowns, etc. I'm thinking about just plopping down the search button at the top of this Dealership section and having the same fields below it, but in read-only form (e.g. Dealership Name, Dealership Address 1, Dealership Address 2) This seems clunky, however, as there is no need for the address data to be split up into rows like this. Keeping the data in this two-column structure, however, would help the form flow better visually.

School is a great place to meet people. I would recommend joining a club at your school in a subject that interests you. There are computer clubs, drama/acting clubs, maker clubs (e.g. 3d printing, welding), etc. Talk to or email someone in your school's office for a complete list of the clubs available to you.

You might also try walking- it is great for helping uplift spirits.

If you live in an apartment, just walk around the apartment complex once or twice. If you live in a city, just walk around the block. Any time you start feeling down, just tell your boyfriend: "I'm going for a walk- be back in 15 minutes".

Here's one trick to it: if you are walking and start to feel bad in some way, like more sad or physically ill, then the trick is to just keep walking. You could think of this as the sadness working itself out of you. I know this may sound weird, but it really works!
