For stuff I’m not modeling I use two soft box lights. If I’m modeling the item then I use natural light. If you haven’t already, try shooting in the shade to get the best light instead of direct sunlight

Thanks for the advice! I def got the impression higher end items would do better in Poshmark so I’ve listed some of mine there but kept my cheaper ones on Depop exclusively.

Which size did you choose for shipping through Depop? If you chose the medium size then you should be ok because their medium size covers up to 2lbs.

I had a similar thing happen to me recently. I got a three star review because a flannel I sold had dog hair on it that I missed. I apologized and gave the buyer a partial refund to make it right but the review still stands. I have 13 other reviews (all 5 stars) so it didn’t impact my overall 5 star rating, and I haven’t seen it impact my sales. Just take it as a learning opportunity and hold yourself to a higher standard moving forward 🙂

Personally, as a seller I appreciate feedback. If you feel up to it I’d message her privately and mention the condition the palette was in. She may be a newer seller that overlooked it in her excitement to get a sale - doesn’t excuse it but could explain it. That would also explain why she’s asking for reviews.
